Stamping with Anna Griffin

Saturday, April 28, 2012

Hello friends! Hope your weekend is going well so far. Today started a bit busy with me teaching some classes at Michaels but then I had very lazy afternoon. I can hardly believe that next Saturday is National Scrapbook Day! I've seen some fun things popping up on Facebook from several manufacturers who are planning on celebrating this fun day! I can hardly wait since I am hoping to meet up with some friends and get my scrap on!

So I realized that I haven't shown any of the Anna Griffin assignments I've worked on over the last two months. I'd like to share some cards I made with her Banners Clear Stamp Set featured on HSN. I really fell in love with this set when I got it. It has so many FUN images!

I created this "Fiesta" themed using the Carmen collection because it has several fun, bright prints. I love how easy these stamps are to cut out and when you use some 3d foam squares behind them, they really POP!

For this "Let's Party" card, I used the Fido and Fifi collection and colored the banners in with my Copic markers. I stamped several bows and fussy cut them to top the banners and finished them with some liquid pearls.

Finally I used the banner stamps along with the alphabets that come with them to create this fun "It's a boy" themed card along with Anna's Baby boy patterned paper.

These stamps are still available at HSN if you are interested. I love HSN because of the great prices and their flex pay option. I just picked up the Cricut Expression 2 bundle last week and it was delivered in 2 days!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great weekend!

Stamp of the Week 16

Hello friends! It's Sunday, whew where did the weekend go? Well that means it's time I get to share another fabulous Stamp of the Week with you!

Here's the image of SOTW # 16

Here's a sample I created

This stamp inspired me to create a baby boy themed card for a new baby. I used paper from We R Memory Keepers Baby Mine collection. I used Stickles in silver for the clouds, some brown ribbon from Offray and a cute baby pin to finish it off.

You can sign up to get your Stamp of the Week delivered into your mailbox each week by clicking here.

I hope you are having a great Sunday!

Creating with Cardstock

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

Last month We R Memory Keepers asked me to create something fun with their Kensington cardstock pad. I love We R cardstock because it has a nice texture and is heavy weight paper. It's great for using along with the Lucky 8 punches

Since summer is coming I decided to make some wedding favor boxes using the cardstock and my Martha Stewart scoring board. These are 2 inch boxes.

I trimmed the edges with a scalloped edge punch from Stampin Up! and made the flowers with a Fiskers punch by stacking 3 punches and securing them with a glitter brad. The tag is a sentiment from Anna Griffin's self inking stamp set.

For my next project I created a bouquet of flowers created from cardstock.

Here's a closer look

For the center of the daisies I used a Martha Stewart punch and added a glitter brad to each circle (did I mention that I love these little brads?)

I also used the same cardstock to create my entry for Moxie Fabs Tuesday Trigger in this post here.

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Hello friends! It's another Unity Hip Hop so make sure you are starting your hop from the Unity blog so you don't miss out on anything we've got going on this week at Unity.

So for today's post I created with the April SMAK kit from Unity...

Me Documented

This kit has some amazing images for scrapbooking or mixed media projects. I'll be honest, I don't like scrapbooking about myself. It's just not something I am comfortable with but I saw some images I really liked and then an idea came to me.

Insta-Gram Girl

I love my Insta-Gram app on my iPhone. I love following other friend's photos too! What can I say...I'm an Insta-Gram girl.

I love this filmstrip image and must admit it's my favorite of the kit. It just says fun to me.  Like I said earlier, this kit just has so many great images to use on layouts and mixed media projects. As soon as you see it in rubber you're going to want to ink it up. If you're interested in Unity's SMAK kits click on over here for more info.

Don't forget the Ippity Release party is tonight!

Taking a break from assignments to create some Trigger fun

When I saw yesterday's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World I had to play along. This week I've been creating some samples with a cardstock pack for We R Memory Keepers and it just so happens that these same color combinations are in the Kensington cardstock pad that has riddled my scrap table. So I picked up said scraps and played along...

 Here's this week's Trigger Target

Here's what I was inspired to create

 Good Luck

Supplies: We R Memory Keepers Kensington Cardstock pad. Stampin Up! bird punch, Studio G Sentiment, CTMH White Daisy ink, Spellbinders die, Stampendous white embossing powder and Stickles.

I used the color combinations in a little different way but I really liked the placement of the birds in the Trigger. Of course on a card 3 would be too many but with the sentiment placed in the middle I felt like it worked. What do you think?

You can play along with this weeks Tuesday Trigger too! Head over to the Moxie Fab blog to add your take to this week's challenge!

Lucky 8 doubled up

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Hello friends! All month long We R Memory Keepers is showing you some inspiration on the Facebook page with their newest collection Baby Mine. We're also sharing some ideas for the new Lucky 8 punches. So today I used two different punches to create this layout.

The back scallop in dark pink is the Tatted Doily punch and the light pink is the Home Pie punch spritzed with glimmer mist and sanded around the edges with a nail file. I love this picture of Lily at 6 month old, January 2008. I punched some hearts out of the coordinating We R Cardstock and added some glitter brads and stitching. I have a bit of an addiction over those brads.

I love that there is a boy and girl option for this collection. Of course I am totally blessed to have one of both but I can tell you my 14 year old son would not be please to see his baby pictures on my blog.

You can see everything offered in the Baby Mine collection here on the We R Memory Keepers website.

Have a great day!
