CHA peeks from We R Memory Keepers

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Hello friends! This week is flying by don't ya think? I'm looking forward to working at the Scrapbook Expo with the owner of Eyelet Outlet this weekend. I hope I'll see some of you at the show! Today I've got a few projects I've been wanting to share that I created for the We R booth at Winter CHA. First I am super excited to share that I had a layout in the Winter CHA magazine, Craft Industry today, with Tim Holtz on the cover for We R Memory Keepers.

The feature was on crocheted flowers. I used the Winter Frost collection and the coordinating crocheted flowers.

She Loves Snow

Here's a link if you'd like to see the entire issue.

I also did a Step Out project featuring the Sew Ribbon tool and how easy it is to create a banner with this fun tool.

And finally, here are a few sneaks of projects I created for the We R booth at CHA. The first is with the new For the Record collection.

I love creating with We R Memory Keepers products. For more inspiration visit the We R Memory Keepers Facebook page.

Fun with brads from Eyelet Outlet

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a fantastic week so far! A few weeks ago I was browsing the stamp isle at Michaels and came across this sweet Mermaid image from Stampendeous.

I had to take her home with me because I had some cute shell and seaweed brads from Eyelet Outlet I thought would be super cute if I found a way to add them to the design.

Here's what I came up with.

Forever Friends

I also had some cute little girl stamps from Hero Arts I pulled out to create my next card with.

Sending you Birthday wishes

For this card I added some of the new balloon brads and the red stipple jewel brads.

For more inspiration using Eyelet Outlet products, visit the blog here.

If you're headed to the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim this weekend, look for the Eyelet Outlet booth.

I'll be working there Friday and Saturday with owner Suzanne Marchesano.

Creating with Anna Griffin

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

Hello friends. I was lucky enough to grab some of the Anna Griffin Beautiful Bouquet Floral Die cuts from HSN. I loved the idea that all I needed to add dimension was some foam adhesive and just layer these beautiful images. The die cuts were really easy to punch out and assemble. Once i got started the layering was easier than I expected.

Here's some of the cards I made using the die cuts.

I also created a few cards with the Paper Weaving kit.

Once I had the design finished I easily added some 3D flower stickers and a sentiment to create this finished look.

This kit was really easy to use and I quickly created some beautiful cards by adding other Anna Griffin elements I had in my stash.

Thank you so much for visiting me today!

Stamp of the Week Sunday

Sunday, January 27, 2013

Hello friends! It's great to be back posting with this week's Stamp of the Week Sunday. I caught that awful flu and it knocked me down for an entire week. I think the last time I was this sick was 2009. I never get sick which I am thankful for but this one did finally get me. If you're sick too, take care of yourself. We Moms tend to put our needs last and I am so guilty of that too.'s time to reveal this week's image.

So Unity right? I just loved this SOTW image and had an easy time of putting something together with it.

Let's ketchup soon

Winter fun with Winter Frost

Monday, January 21, 2013

Hello friend! I'm back from CHA and it was a great show. My favorite part is of course seeing friends from all over the world.
I had some really busy weeks leading up to CHA creating assignments for We R Memory Keepers and other manufacturers. The We R Memory Keepers booth was amazing. I love all the new products releasing this year. I am most excited about the Envelope Punch Board. Did you see it in action at the show?

Today I am sharing another fun Winter Frost project. This collection is so much fun to create with and this layout came together so easy.

My family went to the Ice Kingdom at the Queen Mary before the holidays and had so much fun there. They had large ice sculptures, ice skating and more! I used several pieces from the Winter Frost collection and I added a few punches to help create a fun design and add some texture to my layout.

There were so many new and innovative products at the show and I can't wait for many of them to start shipping.
If you'd like to see more inspiration with We R Memory Keepers products, head over to our Facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by today, it's good to be back.

Happy Birthday Hip Hop

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

Hello Unity friends! It's the boss lady's Birthday today so we are celebrating in a BIG way at Unity. Please do me a favor and head over to Angela's Facebook wall and wish her a Happy Birthday! She is not only one of the sweetest gals I know but she has the biggest heart and I love her so.

I knew from the moment I met her...she was special. She has been many things to me since that January evening in December. Thanks for inspiring me to live my dreams dear friend.
 Happy Birthday!!

In celebration of Angela's Birthday there are so many beautiful, amazing stamps releasing. Please stop by the Unity website to see them all. Here's one of the Angie girl images.

Super cute right? I decided to color her with some of my watercolor pencils and then add a little smooch spray over the top. I like the effect it created.

Supplies: Patterned paper My Minds Eye; Martha Stewart border punch; Petaloo Flora Doodles yellow.

It's been awhile since I used my watercolor pencils but I really did enjoy coloring this sweet image. I added these cute flowers from Petaloo to make this a really fun card.

Now it's time for the good stuff! read it right here... 40% off and a free gift when you spend $25!

Now I am sending you over to the super sweet and talented Shilo...

One little word

Sunday, January 6, 2013

I am not a resolution maker because I'm that girl who breaks her resolutions like... 5 minutes after she makes them. So instead I chose to try One Little Word. For me this challenge gives me power and the feeling that if I fall too far from my word I'll feel that little nudge of encouragement to embrace it again. So with that said I bet you're wondering what my word is for 2013 right

I really thought a lot about what my word would be this year and I realized looking back on 2012 that I really hadn't valued myself in so many areas of my life. And since I did not value me, I allowed others to de-value me in business and personal relationships. It was really hurtful to come to this realization because I also realized that I've spent most of my life not knowing what my worth really was. We all have value and as women who have careers and families, it's so easy for us to put ourselves last...always. So after choosing my word I feel ready for the challenge to value myself.

Self discovery can be life changing and I am excited to embrace this year's One Little Word challenge.

What is your 2013 One little Word?

I'd love to hear it so leave me a comment.
