Some fun pics of girls I got to hang out with at CHA. Miss Norine, she was a sweetheart! Can't wait to see her again in January!

My sweet friend and co-designer from the Imaginisce team, Robyn Schaub. She lives in Texas and I really wish she were closer to LA. On the right is Miss Pattie, my co-worker at My Little Shoebox. Pattie's smile is exactly like her personality...warm and kind :)

Next I scrapped up a layout of this nice large picture of my sweet little girl at the Grand Canyon. Isn't that view behind her amazing. It was our first visit and we all had so much fun together that day!

More funny photos from our trip. I love my husband, he makes me full belly laugh all the time. I think that's why I fell for him. Well... his green eyes too although in these shots you can't see them but just look at Lily's, they are one in the same!

And of course I have to use up the scraps to make a couple of cards. First with stamps from Unity Stamp Company's Co brand Simple Stories called Travel Notes.

And one final card that I cut the sentiment out with my Cricut.

So that's a wrap friends on this month's Paper Posies Inspiration! If you are searching fora fabulous kit club pop on over the website and take a look at the past kits. It's a little box of scrappy heaven right to your door every month. If you love to chat it up we have a Friday chat fest every week at 10am pacific time. You don't need to be a KOTM member to swing on by and chat it up with us!

Trick or Treat we're having some fun today!

Friday, August 19, 2011

Hello there! You should be coming by from Pearl's blog!

We're having a little fun at My Little Shoexbox today, sharing the Trick or Treat collection with a special blog hop for you! If you didn't start the hop at the My Little Shoebox blog, head on over there to start so you don't miss a thing!

Today I have  a TRICK with you! I created a fun little Halloween themed gift bag with our cardstock stickers and some Spooky treats and Starry nites paper.

These are super easy to create and perfect for your child's classmates or even Trick Or Treaters!

All I did was score a 8X4 piece of cardstock at 5 1/4 and then flipped it and scored the other side and folder the flaps. Apply adhesive and adhere to the front of the bag. I then cut off 3 inches of the top of the bag and used the Martha Stewart web border punch to the top of the bag. Embellish with a boy or girl cardstock sticker and add the name of the child.

I love to use black Washi tape and white gel pen together. It creates a chalkboard effect and looks fun too!

********************

My TRICK for you today is to use plain clothespins to dress up gift bags and create a cute clip that can be used for other things.

Clothespins are cheap at the dollar store

Use Washi tape in fun designs to dress them up.

Next take a cardstock sticker and stack it over a die cut like the Lacey circle die from Spellbinders.

Then add some bling like these circles from Recollections that can be found at Michaels

Now you've created a fun clip for your treat bag that can be used again and again!

Now that you have your Trick it's time for your secret letter!

Now I'll send you over to Zoe!

Here's the master list just in case you lose your way!!

Another two post day! Unity Friends with Flair

Since My Little Shoebox is having a really fun blog hop today (you can see that post here)
I decided to get out my a little trick or treat co-branded set from Unity

and made some mini cards.

These lil cuties were fun to create and include paper from My Little Shoebox's Trick or Treat collection, baker's twine by We R Memory Keepers, buttons from Making Memories and Martha Stewart's iridescent glitter and spider web punch! ( I know, you can barely see it)  You must pick some up! I'm hooked!
So that's it for me today...short and sweet!

2nd post today...a rarity!

Hip Hop, creating with Vintage Street Market

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Hip Hop hello! Hope your weeks been a good one so far! We're sharing some fun products from Vintage Street Market for today's Hip Hop.

They were generous in donating a fabulous kit for us to create with. I received Dimestore Vogue and scrapped up some photos of Ang and I at CHA. Typically these camera shots turn out well...but this time...well you be the judge LOL

I used my Spellbinder flower dies from Donna Salizar and the Chocolate Brown crepe paper to make some fun flowers and the August KOTM images. The Aqua foil paper was really easy to punch with using my Martha Stewart punches.

Not a KOTM member yet? GASP! You really want to join! I love my KOTM because each image is unique and fun to create with!

Now I have a BIG sale to share with you today!

Now it's time for you to visit Stephanie!

She set a goal for herself

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

Hello friends! I feel like this week is already slipping by me and we're only on Tuesday. I had a busy weekend of crafting. My classes at Michaels were full and we had tons of fun Saturday afternoon. I love meeting new scrapbookers so eager to learn how they can get started. My Martha Stewart punch around the page class had 6 ladies and they all left happy with their beautiful creations. I really am crazy about Martha's products and can't wait for the new stuff we saw at CHA to roll out.

So I haven't had a chance to share a personal goal that I finally achieved a few months ago. I have wanted to be published for the past two years. I had seen all of my friends and mentor's work gracing the pages of my favorite publications and decided that I really wanted that for myself too. So I started studying Paper Crafts and the types of projects that were making it into each issue until I had an idea of what they were looking for and got crafty. I submitted my work and held my breath. Finally... one day I was very very excited to get some happy mail from Paper Crafts Magazine! This is my first ever pub with them! They picked up a card I create with Unity and Imaginisce paper for Card Creations Vol. 9

My card titled Tropical Love

I used one of my all time favorite stamps from Unity called Hearts of Old
as well as paper and embellishments from Imaginisce's Garden Party collection and a kraft tag from Maya Road.

Shortly after this publication I started submitting to the Cricut magazine and they started saying YES too! Remember my post about this layout? Well here's a fun birthday banner, card and cupcake holder I made for my son's 13th Birthday last year and submitted. I like to decorate his bedroom door every year now that he's a bit too old for parties.

Both of these magazines photograph the work so beautifully and really make it shine! So those are the pubs I can show you right now. If you want to see more of my cards please take a peek into this issue available now!

I almost fell over when I saw one of my submission's chosen for Paper Crafts Online bonus projects here.
Thanks for celebrating with me today! If you've been thinking about submitting your work for publication I really want to encourage you to do so. It may take some time but only you can make your goals and dreams come true!

That's all I got for today. Have a fabulous day!!
