St. Patrick's Lucky Decor Made with Zots!

Thursday, March 16, 2017

Top of the morning to you! St. Patrick's Day is Friday and I wanted to some fun and easy St. Patrick's Day Lucky decor using Zots™ and Deco foil™ that I created for the Therm-O-Web blog.

I really don't decorate for St. Patrick's Day. My daughter recently noticed and encouraged me to make some decor. I picked up the chalkboard frame at Micheals and thought it would be easy to swap out different holiday decor.
Here's what you'll need to create the same frame and garland. Therm-O-Web Supplies:
Other Supplies:
Dark green cardstock Lime green cardstock Misc Chalkboard Frame Embroidery thread ______________________________________________________________

For the word Lucky I used my Cricut Explore to cut the word LUCKY and replaced the U with a
horseshoe die cut. I thought it would look great if the letters were green and the horseshoe was gold foiled. I personally like to foil the DECO FOIL™ PEELNSTICK TONER SHEETS  first and then cut them using the Cricut.

Once I foiled the toner sheet, I loaded it into the Explore to cut the horseshoe. You can find a variety of shapes by using the search function. Now that the letters and gold foiled horseshoe are cut, I can arrange them on the frame to see how I want it to look.

Once I cut the letters and the horseshoe, I applied  ZOTS™ ROLL • SMALL to the backs of the letters and adhere them to the chalkboard.

Next, I thought it would be fun to create some St. Patrick's Day confetti to go with the decor.

I cut 1 inch circles using my Explore and used the left over foiled DECO FOIL™ PEELNSTICK TONER SHEETS to make some gold ones too. I used embroidery thread to string them together.

I applied the ZOTS™ SINGLES • MEDIUM to the middle of the circles, then strung the string across the center and placed the circles over to create the string of confetti.

The finished product was fun to creative and very festive.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Hoppy Easter by Photoplay

Saturday, March 11, 2017

Hello friends! I was lucky enough to win ALL of Photoplay's CHA paper collections in a Facebook Giveaway in January!
I was beyond thrilled when my box of goodies arrived. Today I want to share a few cards I created with Photoplay's

I love the Hoppy Easter stamp set and used it to create the following cards along with paper from the collection.

I used the carrot image to wallpaper the background of my card and then I colored it with Copic markers. Then I stamped and colored my bunny and placed him with Therm-O-Web 3D foam squares.

For this card I stamped the bunny image and colored with Copic markers and used Therm-O-Web 3D foam squares to mount it on my card. I added some washi tape board and a border die from My Favorite Things to my design. I finished the card off with a sentiment and some twine.

The colors in this collection are so vibrant and fun to work with. I hope to create some more projects with it soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello friends. Today I am sharing more creations from Anna's HSN Anniversary show. Today's cards feature Anna's Lovely Layers and Wishful Thinking dies. These are beautiful card layers to help you create cards like mine paired with other Anna products.

Embossing the layers adds a nice touch to the cards too!

Anna's card toppers make creating cards easy and fast.

I love how I was able to use them for masculine cards too!

Well that's it for today.

Have a creative day!

More of Anna's HSN Anniversary projects: Seasonal Layers

Thursday, February 9, 2017

Hello friends! Oh it's good to be blogging again! So last week I showed you some Seasonal Die cards, today I am sharing some Seasonal Layers cards!

Here we go!

Oh I loved making this card! I embossed a sheet of vellum and them colored the back side with Copic markers. The result was really soft.

For this card I used the border embossig folders to create a trellis for the flowers.

Adding glitter cardstock to the back of the embossed images can add dimension to the design.

This might be my favorite. I inked the top of the embossing folder and ran it thru my Cuttlebug. Then I ran a few strips of 1inch paper thru the Cuttlebug and cut out the border embossing folder design to layer.

These cards were quick and easy to create. Thank you for stopping by.

Have a creative day!

New from Therm-O-Web, Deco foil transfer gel

Friday, February 3, 2017

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a fun project with a brand new produt from Ther-O-Web called Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel. The Deco Foil Transfer Gel is a perfect tool to work right along with your Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets. It gives a bit of dimension along with incredible shine!

Therm-O-Web Supplies:
Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel - Coming Soon Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets Emerald Watercolor iCraft® Easy-Tear Adhesive Tape 1/2 in. 3D white foam squares

Other Supplies: Misc Wood Phrase Recollections paper flowers Seam binding blue chipboard button Perfect Pearls mists watercolor paper

Here's how you can create a stunning canvas like I did with any stencil of your choice!

Home Sweet Home Canvas Instructions:

First, spray your canvas as desired, I used a 5x7 sized canvas.

Cut a piece of watercolor cardstock to layer over the canvas. Apply mist to get desired look.

Lay the stencil over the watercolor paper and use paste to create a pattern. I chose to add some to the top left and bottom right of my paper. The Deco Foil Transfer gel takes approx 60 minutes to dry. The Transfer Gel w ill go from an opaque white to clear when dry.

Once the design has dried on the watercolor paper, cut out some Deco Foil transfer sheets in Emerald and lay over the dried paste. Run thru the Laminator to set the foil. Now you get to be creative.

Brush the wood die cut phrase with mod podge and sprinkle glitter over it. Use our 3d Foam squares to attach the die cut to the watercolor paper. Then add some paper flowers, a double tied bow and butterfly. The finished project truly is a work of art. I enjoy that the Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel allows you to use a variety of stencils to create beautiful designs.

Look for Therm-O-Webs new Deco Foil Transfer Gel to hit stores in March.

I can't wait to get it in your hands to see how you'll use it on your next project!
