25 Days of Holiday cards 2020 edition Day 9

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Hello and welcome to Day 9 of my 25 Days of holiday cards! We finally decorated our Christmas tree. For the first time ever we got a flocked tree. It's definitely been an interesting experience. For one, the green strings of lights definitely stand out, and our Hallmark ornament collection kind of gets lost in all the white. It's still very pretty tho. I'm still tweaking some of the decors so I'll share a photo when I'm satisfied.

Today's card features Anna Griffins Christmas Botanical card toppers and embellishments.

I love using pink in my Christmas cards and that die pops out just the right amount of pink.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

25 Days for Holiday Cards 2020 edition Day 8

Tuesday, December 8, 2020

Hello and welcome to Day 8 of my 25 Days of Holiday Cards. I hope you are healthy and doing well. 2020 has certainly been an interesting year especially if you live in CA. The Covid restrictions have been pretty tough to endure to be quite honest. It definitely makes for some rough holiday shopping.

Today I am sharing another noncard project because I think our theme today should be to remain, Merry, this holiday season even though it's not our typical celebrations with family and friends.

I created this fun banner with Dies from Diamond Press and some fun wood tags.

Wishing you a very Merry holiday season!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love choosing non-traditional colors for Christmas cards. Teal, gold, and white are some of my favorite color combos.

Sunday, December 6, 2020

Hello and welcome back to 25 Days of Holiday cards.

Today's project is actually not a card but instead some fun shaker tags from Diamond Press.

I chose non-traditional holiday colors for these tags.

I find using micro beads in shaker cards or tags helps whatever you choose to fill them with move easier.

Happy Mail Pull Dies and a giveaway! Edited with the winners!

Tuesday, November 17, 2020

Hey friends! It's been a busy couple of months with back to back HSN shows for a few companies I design for. I'm just now finding the time to share some fun cards I created with the November products.

Today I wanted to share some fun creations from Diamond Presses the latest release and I have a fun giveaway!

The following cards were created using the Happy Mail Pull dies and stamps.

This set is a fun interactive card that the top of the envelope flips up to reveal your message when you pull the tab.

What I love about it is several themes can be created with this set. Birthday, Hello, Love and more!

The stamps and dies are so whimsical and fun they are easy to create regular cards as well as this one. Sending paper hugs...

And I love how easy it was for me to add some holiday papers to create a fun holiday-themed card too!
I really loved creating with this cute set. It's currently available for 29.95 on HSN.com

Would you like to win this set??? I happened to have an extra set to give away today. Now because it's my own personal duplicate set I am only able to offer shipping within the United States.

To be entered to win please leave a comment below telling me what theme your first card would be with this set. Two winners will be chosen at random from the comments.  I'd also love it if you'd follow my blog and if you'd like to follow me on Instagram, I can be found at Shemainesmith. The first thing I would make is a paper hug card for my grandson that I haven't seen in 4 years. I miss him so and he is having a rough time for a 12 year old boy and could use a hug and letter.

More fun creations with the September HSN products from Diamond Press

Saturday, September 19, 2020

Hello friends! Tonight I'm posting some of my designs with Diamond Press's Autumn Window Foliage die set and the Rustic Wreath Shaker card set.

The Glitter paper really makes the pumpkin pop on this card.

These cards were fun and easy to create with. This die could be used for everyday occasion thank you cards.

These leaves would also be really pretty done with the inlay technique by using all the scraps.

You don't have to create shaker cards with this set. It makes great cards by cutting the wreath image and adhering to the base of the card with foam squares.

These shaker cards were fun and easy to create thanks to the contents included in the kit.

Unfortunately the Autumn Window Foliage dies set has sold out on HSN but the Wreath Shaker set is still available if you are interested.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Haunted House dies from Diamond Press

Monday, August 17, 2020

Hello friends! Just popping in to share some fun designs that I created with the new Diamond Press Haunted House dies. These dies are simply amazing! It's a shame they sold out so quickly on HSN but here's some looks for those who were able to snag them!

For my first card, I decided to use the stamps and dies to create a fun 3D background collage with my sentiment as the focal point.

Next for this house, I inked up a starry sky background and added the tree and fence die cut from the Halloween Pop Up set.

For the next card, I used some patterned paper as a fun background and created this card around the colors of the papers.

For my final card, I just love purple and lime green together so I thought it would make a fun card!

I can't wait to see what others are creating with this fun set! I'll definitely be having a friend over to craft some of these before Halloween!

Thanks for stopping by!

Anna Griffin Tea Cup Pop up cards

Thursday, August 6, 2020

Hello friends! I know it's been a while. I hope you're all doing well through this difficult time. I've tried to keep myself busy with as many craft projects as possible which is why I haven't been sharing on my blog as much.

Today I wanted to share some cards I made using the Tea Cup Card kit from Anna Griffin. This kit is so beautiful!

For this card, I thought it would be a great technique to emboss the card base with an embossing folder. I love the way the design looks!

For the inside, I wanted to add a butterfly so I cut this cute die twice and layered it with a foam dot. So pretty! If you want to learn to make this card, Anna did a Charm school video on her blog featuring similar pieces from the kit here. She walks you through each step to create your own pop-up card. She also shows other advance cards using the kit that are just stunning.

For this card I used a die behind the sentiment and flowers to make the front of the card stand out.

and filled my tea cup inside with a variety of blooms.

Another fab front with a die from Anna's library of designs. There are so many now you can really mix and match!

and I added another sweet butterfly to the flowers

I kept it fairly simple for this card.

But filled the tea-cup to the brim with flowers.

I had some flocked cardstock tucked away and I thought it would be perfect for the tea cup dies.

I love how the cup turned out with the embossing and flock. So delicate and pretty.

My last card features a little inking of the teacup on the inside.

It looks so delicate and fun right?

Thanks for visiting today. I promise to have more action here going forward. Aren't we all just trying to figure out our new lifestyles?

I'll have some fun news coming soon too!
