Deco Foil is fun and easy to use. It really makes stamped images pop! I used Deco Foil in Gold for First Friend, Best Friend, Forever set.. I added some fun sequins I picked up in the kids craft section at Michaels.

I used Deco Foil from Therm-O-Web in Pink Melon for this sweet flower image of the Whispy Prarie set..

Shakers Gonna Shake Week at MFT

Friday, April 17, 2015

Its been a cool week over at the My Favorite Things Blog. All this week the design team has been featuring shaker cards. I'll admit, I bought the stuff to make them, created one for a magazine call and that was the end of my shaker cards. I did not get the same result with the double sided tape I chose by die cutting it so I gave up.

Well I was so inspired but the video Kimberly Crawford made and the variety of cards the team was making that I pulled out my shaker stash and go creative. I used the Color Challenge colors for my shaker card.

I didn't have any dies to create shaker cards from MFT so I used the PTI Shaker Shapes Star die. I filled it with little star bits and clear micro beads.

Supplies: Stamp set MFT LLD Totally Happy and MFT cardstock: Summer Splash, Sour Apple, Nightshift blue. Ink:Sour Apple

I will definitely be creating more of these!

Have a creative day.

A Rock'n Birthday Card

Friday, April 3, 2015

Hello there friends!
I wanted to share a fun way to use Therm-O-Web's iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive™ sheets.
Last month for my Birthday I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim and visited the Elizabeth crafts booth. I loved the stickers and her microfine glitter so I picked up some to create with.

HB

I really enjoy creating cards with the peel off stickers. When you sprinkle the Silk Microfine Glitter onto a sheet of Easy-Cut Adhesive it creates a full sheet of glittery background that you can then layer the peel off sticker on and color with Markers. The result is really stunning.

I did get a little glitter residue on my Copic markers but nothing that wasn't easy to get off.

  HB4

Once I applied the sticker, I cut around the outside of the oval frame and saved the left over glittered sheet for another project.  Then I used the Sticky Strip runner to adhere the cardstock to my card base.

HB1

Then I used Therm-O-Web 3D Foam Squares to adhere the image to the middle of my card.

HB2

I finished the card with some fussy cut flowers from Heartfelt Creations. I adhered the bling to the center of the stamped flowers using medium Zots. Finally I adhered them to the card using the 3D Foam squares.

Here's a full image of the finished card.

I hope I have inspired you to give our iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive™ sheets a try!

Have a creative day.

Light it Up Blue for Autism Awareness

Thursday, April 2, 2015

Hello and welcome to the Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Blog Hop!

Today I am participating to help spread awareness for friends and family members who have

children and family members with Autism.

Unfortunately we live in a world where people judge what they do not

know or understand rather than seek information. It's my hope that today's hop will help

spread awareness and inspire people to become educated on what Autism is and show

compassion towards those who are affected.

 I came across this amazing

video made by a young woman with Autism and cannot speak.

It's called Carly's Cafe

It closes with Carly's message: "Everyone has an inner voice. I found a way to let mine out.

We have so many fantastic sponsors that have shown their support for Autism Awareness.

You can see the complete list here:

If you would like a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous companies leave a

comment on this blog and any of the other blogs participating in today's hop!

Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on Monday April 6.

Now here is the card I created for today's hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
