Soft Hues Metallic Layers II

Tuesday, April 21, 2020

Hello friend! I am back today sharing a few of my designs with Anna Griffin's new Soft Hues Metallic Layers II cardstock. I looooove this cardstock for my dies. It helps make some beautiful cards.
Here's a look at some of the designs I made with this set.

I love the soft colors in this cardstock collect and they look beautiful as die cuts. Also, look at the embossing detail on the blue.

Anna's Castle cardstock and Card Making Compendium dies are a great way to build layers on your cards.

Anna's flocked cardstock also looks really pretty behind the soft hue colors.

I've linked back these products to Anna's webpage if you're interested in purchasing.

Thank you for spending some time here today!

Springtime Collage Toppers

Saturday, April 18, 2020

I know that Easter has passed but I did not want to forget to share these lovely Springtime collage toppers from Anna Griffin. The layering and details make it easy to create cards quickly that look like you've spent alot of time making them. Here's a look at what I created with them.

For this card, I started with a flocked cardstock base. That cardstock is my all-time fave and I seriously hoard it. Next, I used Anna's gold Foil Flourishes 2 corner stickers and mounted them using Therm-O-Web's 3D foam squares which are excellent for layering on the flock.

Next, I added the collage topper and a few more flourishes, Mini favorite flower stickers and finished with a bow.

Layering 2 different dies (Mini Frame Dies & Reticulated Border Frame Dies) cut with 2 different cardstock colors can add color and interest behind your collage topper.

I like to use a lot of layers when I create my cards. There are 5 on this card.

Cutting out the center of a card base and adding a contrasting pattern of cardstock with 3D foam squares can really add dimension to your design. I also cut the center of this Mini Frame die out to create a window.

I've linked many of the products I used to create these cards back to Anna's webpage if you are interested in purchasing.

Thank you so much for spending your time here today!

Anna Griffin Trimmings Cut and Emboss folders

Wednesday, April 15, 2020

Hello friends! Today I am sharing some of my designs with Anna griffin's Trimmings cut and Emboss folders featured again on HSN yesterday.

I love that you can layer these folders for a fun look. For this card, I used two of them and a floral border sticker.

This one has 3 layers of the same folder.

For this card I turned the layer vertically and added another floral border stip and sentiment.

Here's another vertical card. The border really adds to the design of the card.

I love using the color purple in my designs. I love how this one turned out.

If you'd like to pick these up, you can order them from Anna Griffin's website here
Thank you for stopping by today!

Lovely Concentric Frame Dies

Monday, April 13, 2020

Hello friends, I am back to day sharing some beautiful cards that I created using Anna Griffin's Lovely Concentric Frame dies. These are available now at HSN and will be airing on tomorrow's show along with some other great products. Click here to purchase. Meanwhile here's a few things I created with them.

This thinking of you card with the gold cardstock really shows off the intracut details of the die.

A sweet "For my Grandmother" sentiment finished this card perfectly.

My heart is bursting from the die cut and tucking some flowers on each side really makes it the focal point of the card.

This one my be my favorite since I love the color purple so much and this embellishment was perfect for the card. The metallic cardstock really makes the embossed image stand out from behind the dies.

Don't foget, Anna will be on HSN April 14th! Here's a link to the program guide so you don't miss her here!

Cardmaking fun with some Rina K Designs Electro-Pop Neon Flock

Friday, April 10, 2020

Hello friends! It's been awhile I know and wow have things changed in the world. I hope you are all safe and well during this unprecedented Stay at Home order. I wanted to share with you some really fun products from Therm-o-Web and Rina K Designs. I created these projects for the blog last week.

Here's a look at the supplies I used to create these cards. Therm-O-Web's deco flock can really take your projects to another level. Rina K's fun Electro-Pop Neon colors look fabulous on black cardstock too!

I started out with some black cardstock and a fun Hero Arts stencil that I used Pixie Spray to adhere to the cardstock so that when I spread the Deco Foil transfer gel duo would stay in place.

Apply the gel generously and let dry overnight. It's also ready in about 90 mins but I personally prefer to allow to dry over night.

While that was drying I colored the hummingbird images with my Copic markers.

I then used my favorite white gel pen from Sakura to enhance my images.

Another fun way to use Copic markers is to die cut sentiments and color them in a gradient manner using darker and lighter shades of color. For the Hello I chose to use shades of purple.

The finished look turned out so fun. I also added some glitter stickles to the bottom where the darker purple was.

Here's my finished sentiment.

And my cute hummingbirds with the flocked cardstock.

Now that the Transfer Gel Duo has dried, simply place the flock, color facing down on the dried gel and run through your laminator.

Once it cools, gently peel back the sheet of Deco Flock to reveal the design. Easy, peasy.

The finished cards turned out stunning. This is an easy technique to achieve. Right now Therm-O-Web is offering free shipping when you spend over $25.

These cards were so fun to create.

I hope that you'll give these products a try. If you do, be sure and tag them on social media with #thermoweb #decofoil #rinakdesigns

Have a craftstic day!
