I love the evening. It's a time when I can reflect on the days events, surf Pinterest and relax. The house is quiet because the kids are asleep. Hubby is sitting on his chair watching TV not paying attention to me tapping away at the keys as I type. I guess I just love the calm of the evening.

Right before CHA I was working like mad to finish some Anna Griffin projects for her HSN show that aired a couple weeks ago. Here's a look at some of what I created.

My card count for this assignment was 117 cards....whew! I'm working on a new call now with some gorgeous paper and embellishments. I'll be sure and share when I can!

Next is some of my design work for the booth at CHA with My Little Shoebox's Audrey collection which is as everyone knows my favorite collection from Helen's new releases! I had so much fun at the show this summer and I can hardly believe that I've been with MLS for almost a year now. I m very thankful for the opportunity that Helen has given me and I am honored to work for her.

This card was created with our new coordinating Cottage Cutz dies from Scrapbook Cottage.

Now that Lily's party is over I have a big to do list of more projects I want to accomplish and one of them is creating with the new co-branded stamps from Unity and MLS!

I love creating for CHA but I also love creating for me. I can't wait to get into my studio and scrap some pics of CHA. It was so nice to spend time with friends and hugs necks with everyone. I really love that I have the opportunity to travel to the trade shows with MLS and see everyone that I might not otherwise get to.  So that's a wrap for the eye candy tonight!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Christmas in July!

Thursday, July 28, 2011

Hello friends! We're celebrating the latest release from Imaginisce, Santa's Little Helper all this week at the Imaginisce blog!

I really enjoyed creating with this collection and I made some cute things. I think what I love most is the  retro colors! Here's a look at some quick and easy tags you can create

For these tags I cut the circles using my Cricut cart and the scalloped white cardstock too! then I just layered the peices added some ribbon and buttons. I let the pattern in the Jungle all the Way paper and the b side of Cinnimon snowflake be the main focus of the tags. On the back I used white gel ink and wrote to: and  from:
Easy Peasy...

Next I created a layout from a Christmas morning memory of our son, Scott.

I love the pattern added to the right side of the paper. I makes it really easy to build your layout on this page. I added some glam rocks to give the image dimension.

And finally...what to do with all the left over scraps? Why make mini cards of course!

This trio was quick and easy to create! I added more glam rocks to the patter on the back right card and the coordinating chipboard makes it even easier to whip these up!

Now head over to the Imaginisce blog to see the adorable creations my fellow team mates created for today's post and don't forget to comment for your chance to win!

Have a great day!

Exciting news to share!

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Hello friends. I am still recovering from CHA and in full planning mode for Lily's upcoming Pirates and Pixies birthday party this Saturday. I made two banners on Sunday and have several lists going...lol. If it all comes together I am sure it's going to be memorable!

So today I am excited to share that I've been asked to be a part of the We R Memory Keepers design team. I am so excited to be designing with so many talented ladies! You can check out everyone's bio's here.
Here's a few things I created for the We R booth at CHA with the new Autumn Splendor collection.

A fun fall banner

A fun card with the Sew Easy tool and new glitter fibers

A family Thanksgiving layout

And a pumpkin place card

I loved creating with this collection! I can't wait to start more assignments and hopefully get to play with the new products released at CHA! The Sew ribbon and Sew stamper!

Here's a video from summer CHA from Craft Critique featuring the Sew ribbon to get you excited!

Have a great day!

Back from CHA!

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Has it really been that long since I blogged? I must admit it was a bit crazy the few weeks before CHA with project deadlines and such but I honestly did not know I'd neglected my blog that long.

It was a fun week seeing some amazing products and hanging out with friends at CHA. My roomies this trip were Norine Borys and Mandy Starner from the MLS team. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet my team mates! I love Norine's sense of style and easy going personality. I really enjoyed my time with her. Mandy was a kick! I could sum her up in one word...Powerhouse! So talented and so very funny! I loved meeting both of these sweet girls.

Norine and I

I was also excited to see another team mate from Imaginisce, Robyn Schaub. Last summer was my first trip to Chicago and we were roomies too!

I puffy heart this girl and the day we took this pic it was her birthday.

I was able to attend CHA thanks to this special lady. I love working for Helen and helping her promote the My Little Shoebox brand. Helen and I took advantage of the seminars that were available for Social Media and Marketing and we learned some valuable information. One of the seminars I attended was given by Nancy Nally of Scrapbook Update and it was great to spend some time listening to her advice.

Here's a few fun photos the CHA team took at the show.

The different expressions make me full belly laugh!

Speaking of bellies...Oh how embarrassing mine is...so wishing I could say I was preggers...lol.
Here's a shot with just Patti, Erin, Helen and silly ol me.

I have so many more pics to share and promise to blog some of my work too! Have a fabulous weekend everyone. I am off host crop night at Michaels and will be looking forward to getting my craft on after a week long hiatus!

P.S. My blog is under construction...I am learning HTML codes and such and for some reason my links aren't showing up as a different color. I'll get it fixed soon!

The week in review

Monday, July 11, 2011

Once again another week has flown by. I've been working so many fun things for CHA and I can't wait to share them with you when I can. It always seems when a 3 day weekend is involved the rest of the week really does fly by.
Friday I went out to Remember When Scrapbooking in Santa Clarita to a free crop that I got an invite to via email. My fun friend Monica was up for a night out cropping so we headed out. Only took us 2 1/2 hours to get there...note to self: don't drive the 405/5 on a holiday weekend again.

I was very happy to run into my fellow Imaginisce designer, Erin Bassett. We got to chit chat a bit face to face. So fun!! My friend and I had a fabulous time and brought home some new goodies. There was a slight bump in our adventure but live and learn.
Note to self: next time you get a free offer in an email, read the fine print! The crop ended up costing us $30.00.

Saturday Lily was invited to a birthday party to the twins we met at the park we frequent. They had a jumper which of course is a hit for this age group.

As soon as Lily saw these cupcakes she was ready to dive in.

Monday we celebrated the 4th at hubby's mom's house and it was nice to also see his Uncle and cousin. Here's a few pics I snapped of Lily and one show her cute 4th of July dress.

Tuesday we were given tickets to the Dodger game from Mat's mom in a Suite at Dodger stadium. We've never experienced the game in this way so we were very excited. Not to mention we hadn't been to a game in years.

And finally here's a couple of cards I submitted for the recent Paper Crafts call that didn't make the cut.

That's it for now friends! Hope you all have a fantastic week ahead!!
