Happy Memorial Day friends! I hope you've been enjoying your weekend. We pretty much hung around the house and relaxed which was perfect. After kitting for the past couple of weeks I spent my days crafting for some upcoming cross promotions and even found time for one more Gallery Idol entry.

Here's # 3 and you know what they say about the third one...

Supplies: Patterned Paper Girl Land from Webster's Pages, Stamped Image Unity Stamp Co./EchoPark Co-Brand, Crate Paper Sticker, Tattered Angels frame inked with grey ink. Perfect pearls grey, Satin bow Anna Griffin, Martha Stewart tinsel glitter and the bling is Jolees French General Sticker.

Here's hoping this one is the charm I need to be named one of the Top 20 for...

Good Luck to all my crafty friends who are entering too! There are some beautiful entries! Stop by the Paper Crafts 2012 Gallery Idol gallery and leave some encouragement! I know everyone would love reading your comments!

Sooner than I think!

Saturday, May 12, 2012

Hello friends. It's been a busy weekend over here. I have been kitting for my upcoming GASC classes in Arlington TX May 31-June 2nd. It's coming up sooner than I think! I'm teaching 3 very different classes at both of the GASC shows and that's 125 kits per class. I'm so thankful for my sweet hubby who has been helping put all these tiny things into bags.

Yep he punched those flowers in there for me too! I am so incredibly excited about this upcoming event because last year I started teaching classes at my local Michaels in Hawthorne to build my confidence so that I could hopefully branch out and teach at events like the Great American Scrapbook Expo someday and now my dreams are becoming a reality thanks to a friend who believed in me.

I have wanted to teach classes for a long time. I love sharing papercrafting with other women and I love that it gives me confidence and a little something just for myself. I think as Moms and wives we spend so much time taking care of others that we forget to take care of ourselves. Papercrafting is a part of my soul that really makes me feel good about myself. I hope that I can help others feel good about themselves thru my classes too!

Here's a peek at one of the cards we'll be making in my Sew Ribbon card class sponsored by We R Memory Keepers. I just love butterflies, don't you?

If you live near Arlington TX or Chantilly VA you can check out all of the great classes offered at the Great American Scrapbook Expo here. My sweet friend Ashley Harris is also teaching at GASC.  She's got a fun "Happy Birthday to All" and "No, thank you!" card classes and a Family Matters mini album class.

It's going to be lots of fun! Hope to see some of you there!

Have a great weekend!

Stamp of the Week #18

Sunday, May 6, 2012

Hello friends! It's time to share this week's Stamp of the Week from Unity Stamp Co! This stamp could not have been more perfect for my project this week. This past Wednesday, my husband and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary and have been a couple for 7 years now. We were married on the island of Kauai at sunset and it was the most amazing day. I wanted to create an Anniversary card for him and this week's stamp of the week was perfect!

 Flip Flop HAPPY

See I told you it was perfect! In Kauai that's all we wear is flip flops! Heck that's all I wear at home too! So here's the Anniversary card I created for my hubby. Bright, cheerful and full of love...

{Happy Anniversary babe! You made it a special one being as thoughtful as you always are}

Supplies: Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection. Flip Flop HAPPY Stamp of the Week from Unity. Wilton doily and We R Memory Keepers brad.

I've been creating with We R Memory Keepers Anthologie collection for the past few months and I really love this collection! Here's a few things I've made with this beautiful collection so far for assignments and and upcoming class I'll be teaching.

I created this layout for HSN:

Next I made these gift bags for a project sheet using several of the Anthologie stamps and patterned paper.

Supplies: Anthologie collection, clear stamps and assorted colors of bakers twine from We R memory Keepers. Paper bags from Michaels craft stores.

And finally, I designed this Sew Ribbon Card class that I will be teaching at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in both Arlington Texas and Chantilly VA.
