Design Studio cards

Monday, August 15, 2016

Hello friends. today I am sharing a few projects from the Cricut Design Studio that I made a few months back with the cartridge titled Dimensional Scenes - Tea & Cakes.

These cards are like shadow boxes, so fun to put together.

I paired them with coordinating cardstocks and papers from Anna Griffin.

These two are from Dimensional Scenes - XOXO

That little birdie is just too fun!

The Cricut Design Space makes it so easy to create cards like these and more. I'm a real fan of my Cricut Explore.

If you've been on the fence about purchasing an Explore, I can tell you first hand that out of the box I had no idea what I was doing but Cricut's upgrades have made cutting images easier than ever.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Therm-O-Web Mixed Media sheets earrings.

Monday, July 25, 2016

Hello friends. I am excited to share a fun project I created for Therm-O-Web for a trade show they exhibited at recently.

Therm-O-Web is releasing some really cool mixed media sheets that you can alter with a variety of mediums. I decided to try cutting mine in the Cricut. Due to the fabric I was worried that it might not cut cleanly so I decided to paint them first with Gesso from Faber Castel. I was so pleased with the result.

Here's a look at my process.

The die cut feathers from Cricut's Design Space.

I painted them with the new iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive.

Then I used the new watercolor foil to foil them, Then I added the silver findings.

Here's the finished set.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Summer & Fall Embossing folders

Thursday, July 21, 2016

Hello friends, Today I am sharing a few cards I created with Anna Griffin's Summer and Fall Embossing folders.

I love the shells embossing folder. It's so fun to add ink to this one.

The feathers were my favorite because they are so trendy right now. I cut the feathers in vellum and layered them over the embossing folder.

Have a creative day!

Summer and Fall Stamps and Seasonal Inks

Wednesday, July 20, 2016

Hello Friends. Today I am sharing some of my cards created with Anna's Seasonal inks and Stamps.

I love stamping in the same color ink as my cardstock and creating my own patterned paper. This technique is easy to create, it just takes a little time and patience.

A little glitter paper goes a long way. It helps these stamped images stand out.

This was my favorite card because the navy ink really pops!

Here's some Seasonal Inks projects

Seasonal Layers and Dies

Tuesday, July 19, 2016

Hello friends. Today I am sharing some cards created with Anna's Seasonal Card Layers and Dies.
Pairing these products makes card making quick and easy. You can transform paper into beautiful accents for your cards.

Double layer your dies with complimenting colors to create fun looks for your cards.
My steps to a quick card are:
Choose a base
Add a complimenting layer cut at 4x6 with foam adhesive to create depth
add a banner strip and die cut sentiment
add some die cut flowers using foam adhesive for depth
finish with Anna's classic bows.
Voila!

I hope you get a chance to create today!
Thanks for stopping by.

Charlotte Paper collection

Monday, July 18, 2016

Hello friends. I can't believe I haven't posted in over a month. I must admit I was pretty busy in May and June with a move and getting ready for Anna's 24 hour craft event on HSN.

Today I am sharing some of my cards that were created with Anna's Charlotte paper collection.

Someone recently emailed me asking my recipe for the perfect card. I say the more layers the better! There are 5 on this card.

Nothing says Anna more than gold glitter paper.

I love this newest collection from Anna Griffin. The colors and patterns and so lush and beautiful.
I'll be sharing more creations all this week.

Thank you for stopping by!

Anna Griffin's Beautiful Trimmings Embossing folders & dies

Hello friends. I'm a bit behind sharing some projects I created for Anna Griffin's last HSN show that aired in May.

So here we go.

Here are some cards I created using Anna's Beautiful Trimmings Embossing folders and cutting dies.

Designer tip: Layer your cardstock with glitter paper. It creates a stunning layered look!

Designer tip: Layer the same die with coordinating cardstocks. Adhere the layers using double sided tape and then cut them to desired size using your paper trimmer.

Designer tip: Use Anna's foiled cardstock and layer the dies so that the card almost looks like a dress. Can you spot the waistline?

More layering and a fancy bow. I love using organza ribbon because it makes beautiful bows.

Designer tip: Cut white core cardstock with the dies and sand the design to bring out the core.

That's it for today. Look for this set to come back to HSN for Anna's July 6th show!

Have a creative day!
