World Card Making Day 2014!

Saturday, October 4, 2014

Hello friends! It's finally here!

I am ready to craft some cards and enjoy the day! Aside from Lily's soccer game in the afternoon, my day is cleared for nothing but paper, glue, stamps and dies!!!

Here is my first card for #WCMD2014

I decided to create for this week's Moxie Fab World Challenge

I used paper from my Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit and my favorite Mason Jar Mug die set from My Favorite Things. The stamped image is from the Delicious Birthday Stamp Set.

I'm getting ready to start another card. How many do you think I will get done between now (9:00 pm pacific time and midnight Saturday Oct 4?

Leave your guess and I will choose a lucky winner to win 3 itty bitty stamps from Unity Stamp Company and some other card making goodies from my stash! I'll post the photo tomorrow sometime of the prize.

**Edited**

I'm crafting away

Here's one using some paper from my Simon Says Stamp August Card kit and  the My Favorite Things Many Thanks die. Adhesive: Therm-o-web sticky dot mini runner.

Next is one of the challenges over at Butterfly Reflections Inc's blog. I used paper from We R Memory Keepers Harvest collection and dies from My Favorite Things. Adhesive: Therm-o-web sticky dot mini runner.

In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month I created this card using Unity Stamp Company's Hoot for Hope.

On to card # 5...

Have a creative World Card Making Day!

A little cup of happy

Sunday, April 21, 2013

Hello friends. Every morning I really enjoy brewing my little cup of happy so when I saw this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger inspiration I had to create something fun!

Here's a look at this week's inspiration

I knew I had some Unity stamps in my stash that would be great for this challenge, so I went digging...

A little cup of Happy

Supplies: Unity Stamp Co.  Feb 2011 and July 2009 KOTM images: Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants Park Bench collection; Recollections Felt flowers; Misc: buttons and bling.

I love using my older Unity images. There are SO many cute stamps that are in the older KOTM kits. These stacked cups are one of my favorites.

You can play along with Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger by creating your take on the weekly Trigger Target and linking your creation to the post here.

Have a creative day!

Wonder of Watercolor: A Moxie Fab World Challenge

Friday, April 19, 2013

Hello friends! I can't believe it's already Friday. I've been enjoying the quiet of my house this morning and creating along with the Moxie Fab World Wonder of Watercolor challenge. I haven't ever tried this technique so I was really interested in giving it a try.

Thankful for your Friendship

Supplies: Simon Says Stamp white cardstock, Anna Griffin embossing folder, Papertrey Ink stamps, Celebrate it ribbon, Simon Says Stamp Sentiment.

I checked out some videos from Hero Arts on YouTube and decided on which watercolor technique I liked. I chose to stamp my image with clear embossing ink and powder on watercolor paper. Then I used Tim Holtz distress Inks and watered them down with a Mini Mister. I them used a paint brush to apply it to my image. I really enjoyed the process and the result.

You can create along with this challenge by visiting the Moxie Fab World blog here.

I look forward to seeing your creation!

Moxie Fab Map to Your Heart Challenge

Monday, January 23, 2012

I love playing along with Cath's Moxie Fab World challenges and this week has been really busy for me but I had to ink up this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. because it was perfect for this challenge! If you didn't see this challenge no worries, you've still got time to create a card and upload it before tonight's deadline. You can read all the details about the Map to Your Heart challenge here on the Moxie Fab blog.

Here's my card

Supplies: Stamp: Unity Stamp Co. Co-Branded Simple Stories Travel Notes set. Patterned paper from October Afternoon, Embellishments from American Crafts, Washi Tape from Love My Tapes. Ribbon by Papertray Ink.

It's pretty wet over here in Southern California today so I'm hanging out in my jammies and slippers, making more cards while the girls are playing on the floor. Some are for the Stamp it call from Paper Crafts, you can read about the current call over here. Have a great day!

She's crafting again!

Wednesday, August 3, 2011

Hello friends! With Lily's big party behind me I am finding time to get back into my studio. I know many of you are waiting for the pics and I am hoping to share some images soon so hang in there. I could tell you that the tutu's and fairy wings looked ADORABLE on all Lily's little friends and the boys in their Pirate caps and eye patches was quite a sight!

There are so many fun collections I saw at CHA that I want to work. Lucky for me all of My Little Shoebox's collections were waiting for us when we returned from CHA and when I saw this  fun challenge over at the Moxie Fab blog that Cath is hosting, I got inspired to dig in!

For this challenge I used My Little Shoebox's Enchanted Garden collection to create my entry. If I haven't mentioned it yet, I am CRAZY for Martha Stewart's Iridescent Glitter! I've been teaching a glitter technique class at Michaels and the fabulous thing about this glitter is that when you use it on an image it will not cover the image but actually let's the image show thru the glitter! *love that* The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

So to add dimension to the pattern in the Classy (item# 11552) patterned paper from the Enchanted Garden collection I used my Oh so favorite glue pen from Sakura and some of this fabulous glitter. I really like the way it turned out!

If you'd like to create a card for this fun challenge there is still time! Link up your creation to the Challenge blog post here.

So that's is for today...let's see what I can create next!
