25 Days of Holiday Cards: Day 8

Monday, December 8, 2014

Hello friends!
Thanks for joining me for another card for my 25 Days of Holiday Cards!

Today's card uses an embossing folder paired with Anna Griffin's metallic paper.

The result is so beautiful and clean!

I used the Paper Snowflakes embossing folder, foil cardstock, Perfect Palette collection and 3D sticker by Anna Griffin. I also used my Martha Stewart Nordic Snowflake punch to layer behind the Sentiment.

My Christmas colors this season are red, silver and kraft. I'll come up with a fun card using all those colors later in the month.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a creative day.

I finally gave in...

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Hello friends! I started ordering a few card kits from Simon Says Stamp after seeing some of their clear stamp sets and I finally caved and got a subscription. I really love these kits!
I finally had a break in assignments and had time to dig out my March Kit (a birthday gift) and created a few cards for the Anything Goes Challenge.

Here's a look at the Flower Friend stamp set I used and it's available separately in the store @ Simon Says Stamp.

Hip Hop Valentine style

Thursday, February 7, 2013

Hello Unity friends. I hope you have enjoyed today's Hip Hop. Make sure you start at the Unity blog so you don't miss out on all the Unity news.
So this week for Hip Hop I'm sharing some Valentine inspiration using January's KOTM and some left overs from my February Paper Posies kit.

All Hearts & Love

I love making tags to tie on gifts and treats. Here's some fun ones I made with a few of these cute images.

I love taking bits and pieces out of my stash and making pretty little things.

For this tag I used some twine from the The Twinery. Wilton doilies are a must have in my stash and my Martha Stewart punch.

The heart beat image in the January kit is one of my faves and easy to incorporate into this tag. I added embellishments from Pink Paislee.

I love punching several images and using the tiny attatcher to hold them together.

This is my favorite of the bunch. I love layering embellishments and punches make it easy. Not to mention this KOTM. It has so many amazing images all in one kit. It's definitely one of my favorites.

25 Days of Holiday Cards Day 9

Sunday, December 9, 2012

Hello friends. I hope you've all had a nice weekend so far. It's hard to believe there are only 16 days til Christmas. I have a rather large stack of holiday cards to go out in the mail this Monday. How about you?
So we're on to Day 9 of my...

This card was inspired by a card I spotted in Paper Crafts magazine created by my stamping idol Jen McGuire.

Merry and Bright

Supplies: Pink Paislee City Sidewalks; Martha Stewart snowflake punch; Lil Inker Designs Christmas Sentiments; Musical Flourish embossing folder; Papertrey Ink buttons and recollections bling. Finished size is A2 4 x 5 1/2

This is a great design for mass producing since the patterned paper is cut at 1 1/2 x 5 1/2. This card took me less than 5mins to create.

For more awesome inspiration from Jen McGuire, check out her design blog here.

That's it for today friends!

Have a great Sunday.

She's crafting again!

Hello friends! With Lily's big party behind me I am finding time to get back into my studio. I know many of you are waiting for the pics and I am hoping to share some images soon so hang in there. I could tell you that the tutu's and fairy wings looked ADORABLE on all Lily's little friends and the boys in their Pirate caps and eye patches was quite a sight!

There are so many fun collections I saw at CHA that I want to work. Lucky for me all of My Little Shoebox's collections were waiting for us when we returned from CHA and when I saw this  fun challenge over at the Moxie Fab blog that Cath is hosting, I got inspired to dig in!

For this challenge I used My Little Shoebox's Enchanted Garden collection to create my entry. If I haven't mentioned it yet, I am CRAZY for Martha Stewart's Iridescent Glitter! I've been teaching a glitter technique class at Michaels and the fabulous thing about this glitter is that when you use it on an image it will not cover the image but actually let's the image show thru the glitter! *love that* The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

So to add dimension to the pattern in the Classy (item# 11552) patterned paper from the Enchanted Garden collection I used my Oh so favorite glue pen from Sakura and some of this fabulous glitter. I really like the way it turned out!

If you'd like to create a card for this fun challenge there is still time! Link up your creation to the Challenge blog post here.

So that's is for today...let's see what I can create next!
