Hip... Hop... Relax

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Hip Hop Hello friends! It's another fabulous Hip Hop at Unity. What's going on this week you ask? Well how about this for a sale...

Today I am sharing some projects I created for publications that did not get picked up with Unity's January KOTM Heart and Soul.

For being there card

I used new paper from My Little Shoebox (Happy go Lucky) and We R Memory Keepers (Anthologie) for this card and some Glimmer Mist. I have to say that after trying all of the mists on the market right now, I still feel that Tattered Angels is the best. That's just my opinion. I stamped the beautiful butterfly image in white ink and embossed it with white embossing powder so it would stand out.

To my heart Tag

I stamped the heart from the January SMAK kit on this Jillibean Soup Kraft tag and layered  the to my heart tag stamped image from the January KOTM and this glittered flower from Imaginisce. Fabric flowers look great when you add Martha Stewart's chunky glitter to them.

I really like how both of these projects turned out and they were fun to create. That's it for today friends. Thank you so much for joining us for Hip Hop! I know Chris and Angela are going to have a wonderful well deserved vacation! Pick up something nice for yourself at Unity and remember to enter the code RELAX!

Now head onto Stephanie's blog and see what she has created for you today!

Cotton Tail Easter tags

Hello friends! Easter is almost here and every year I use the same Easter Basket for my kids to set by their beds for the Easter Bunny.
Of course Scott's basket is ridiculously large since he was an only child for 10 years before we were blessed with his baby sister.
Each year I also make special Easter tags to hang on their baskets so this year I used the Cotton Tail collection from We R Memory Keepers to create a tag perfect for each of my kids.

For Scott

For Lily

Here's how they look hanging on the their baskets

I used my We R Memory tool kit to create these fun tags. I love this easy to use and perfect for my stash little kit. I even made a quick video to show you all you can do with the tool kit.

Take a look

That's it for my Wednesday post! I hope you enjoy your day and create something fun for Easter!

Monday, March 26, 2012

Hello friends. I hope you're all enjoying your Monday so far. It rained so hard here yesterday and I am really enjoying the sunshine we have now this afternoon here in LA. I know I'm spoiled only have to deal with one day of heavy rains but there is just something different with the way the sun shines after it rains.
It's hard to believe that we'll be celebrating Easter soon. Our family has an annual egg hunt over at my mother in laws house and the kids just love it. I usually make a few cards to send off to the Mom's in our family and since I had some free time yesterday with hubby out playing Bingo, I decided to get creative with the Cotton Tail collection from We R Memory Keepers.

First Day of Spring

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Hello friends! How did you spend your first day of Spring today? I wanted to share a layout I created with the new Cotton Tail collection from We R Memory Keepers that is shipping into your favorite scrapbook stores this month. These are last year's first day of Spring pictures I took of my little girl. We have some beautiful hydrangea bushes in front of our apartment and they matched nicely with Lily's hello Kitty Dress.

First Day of Spring

Supplies: Cotton Tail patterned paper: Polka Dots, Color Me Plaid, Easter basket, Seedling, Bunny Tail, Wild Flowers. Cotton Tail Layered Chipboard, glitter brads, bakers twine Aqua and Sew Easy tool.

I love creating with the Sew Easy tool. I used it here to stitch across the punched boarder U layered over the banners I cut from different patterned papers. I also love creating with our glitter brads. You could say that I am addicted to them...just a little.

And before I got I want to mention that We R is having a fun Birthday card challenge that's running thru March 31st! Click the image to enter your card.

Card creating with Lovely Day

Happy Monday friends! I love Mondays because they feel like a fresh start,to everything that did not go well in the past week. I always feel so optimistic at the beginning of the week. We are having a lot of fresh starts around here lately.

The hubby has started a new job and is already raking in commission for several sales he landed last week. I am personally enjoying the hot business look he's rocking as he leaves the house every morning. It was that look that hooked me when we first met and the fact that he made me laugh so much. I still remember when I opened the door of my apartment and there he was standing in my doorway looking totally hot and ready to take me off the the Hollywood Bowl for a date. Yep my man looks good in business attire.

Today I am sharing a few cards I made using the new Lovely Day collection from My Little Shoebox.

Finding a little time to blog

Saturday, March 10, 2012

I have not had the time I would like to blog lately. I've been really busy working on various projects that I have going on and taking care of my sweet girl who first had the flu and then came down with a terrible cold/cough. Then the little girl I care for got the flu too so it was two weeks of sick little ones around here but we came thru it fine and once again this Momma who does not believe in the flu shot has yet again not gotten the flu from the kids. So in between runny noses and other fun stuff I was crafting away on some fun things I can share with you today.

Did you see Anna Griffin's HSN show last week? She had some really fun new banner stamps and other fabulous new products to share. I really loved her new Banner clear stamps set. Here's a card I created using the new stamps.

I also created a fun gift box with the little boy paper from Anna and her new Gift tag and stamp set.

The new All Occasion self adhesive vellum quotes were my favorite tho!
They sold out immediately!

I also finished up some projects for We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 punches. Andrew will be on HSN this Tuesday March 13th @ 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM Eastern time. Here's a little sneak of one of my Lucky 8 projects.

Here's a Stamp of the Week project I made for Unity Stamp Co.

An Easter gift bag with We R Memory Keepers Cotton Tail collection and Spellbinders dies.

Isn't he just adorable!

That's all I got for now friends. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
