Albums Made Easy Monday

Monday, October 21, 2013

Hello friends! For this week's Albums Made Easy tip I wanted to share that you don't have to just use the Albums Made Easy inserts for your albums. There are many sheets of 12 x 12 paper in our different collections that have great designs on them and would make great backgrounds. Like this sheet of Potion patterned paper from Bewitched.

The process is quick and easy. Cut the strip off the bottom of the cardstock with the label. The cut the paper 4x12 and then again at 6 inches. You will now have 2 4x6 pieces. Now round the corners and set aside. Next cut the paper again at 4 x 12 and then cut the strip at 3 inches 4 times. You will now have 4 3x4 inserts. Finally cut what's left of the cardstock at 6 inches and round all the corners again. Slip them into your photo sleeve as shown below.

Now you are ready to embellish the page as you desire. Here's what I did with mine.

Use the Bewitched coordinating sticker sheets and a die cuts to create a quick insert like this one.

I used some pop dots on the cauldron to have it stand out from the sticker of the cute witch.
Make sure if you are using pop dots they aren't too think as the page protectors won't allow for really thick ones.

This is also a great way to use up things in your stash that you have been hoarding like me. This fun little guy is only about 3 years old...glad he finally found his place in my scrapbooking.

That's a wrap on today's tip. I don't have a video today because I was busy re-certifying for my American Red Cross infant and child CPR this morning!  If you have children, it's great to be certified so that in an emergency you will know what to do.

I do however have a giveaway today!

I got some of the Albums Made Easy inserts from our Bewitched collection and would love to get them out to one lucky commenter.

Leave a comment or question and I'll announce the winner next Monday!

Have a creative day!

Did you see on the 2Peas message board someone posted doing this, though she is using them as the filler cards, not using the whole sheet as you did here. Anyway, looks like a good idea to use up paper and/or make your own cards if you don't happen to have any that go with your pics.
