Hello friends! After a few years of missing out on my favorite card making contest, I am ready to throw my hat back in the ring.

This card is for the Clean & Simple genius category.

Supplies Used: Die-namics Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax, Die-namics Stiched Flowers. Die-namics Friend Duo, Sentiment from Snuggle Bunnies. Other supplies: Eyelet Outlet epoxy dots. Therm-O-Web Easy Cut Adhesive.

I love the look of white on white cards, so I thought it would be fun to used dies as a background on white cardstock. Then I added my die cut sentiment using some pink matte foil cardstock.

How did I pull off the flowers sticking perfectly to the card base? I used Therm-O-Web's Easy Cut Adhesive. This is a must-have for adhering small and intricate dies.

25 Days of Holiday Cards Day 6

Hello there. Thank you for joining me for 

All this month I'll be sharing a different holiday themed card right up til Christmas eve. I'm on day 6 and today's card is super fun.

I love the Happy Holidays Circle Frame from My Favorite Things. I used some of Gina K Designs Foil Mates and Therm-o-web Mempory Tape Runner XL. I love, love this adhesive.

I used a left over snowflake die from another project I worked on recently and added a button and twine to finish off my card.

I love creating Holiday cards in non-traditional colors! This one is teal and magenta! Isn't it fabulous? I embossed the stamp image in some sparkly embossing powder from Sprinkle and Sparkle.

Hello friends! Welcome back for Day 5 of my 25 Days of Holiday cards.

Today's card features Deco Foil, Easy Cut Adhesive and 3D Foam Squares by Therm-O-Web as well as dies from my Favorite Things.

My cozy cuppa love was inspired by this technique video from Jennifer McGuire.

I chose to foil one of my hearts using DECO FOIL™ TRANSFER SHEETS • SPRING GREEN and DECO FOIL™ TRANSFER SHEETS • OPAL along with  ICRAFT EASY CUT ADHESIVE™ SHEETS • LG.

I did make a gift card holder card as well that I'll be sharing later.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge: 308

Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by today. I have been having such a blast this month creating with the My Favorite Things Challenge Blog team for my guest spot. 

Here's a look at this week's sketch.

For this week's card, I used the new Beast Friends set. I am really loving these adorable Yeti's! I was inspired by a set of ribbons I purchased from Home Goods this week for my color choice. I used the following cardstock colors from MFT: Berrylicious, Gravel Gray, Cotton Candy.

I love the Split Chevron cover-up. I decided not to take apart the pieces and used the design as my backdrop. Then I layered a circle die from the Pierced Circle Stax   and then cut the Berrylicious strip to ancor my sentiment, the Merry Christmas die. I finished it up with the adorable Yeti image. I added some Stickles to make him look frosty.

MFT New Releases

Hello friends! I had a bit of Insomnia this week and spent some time in my studio creating with my new MFT releases. 

Here's a couple of cards I made with the new Hello There dies.

For my colors, I chose to use Ranger's Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Cracked Pistachio. I love this color combo. I also used the English Brick Wall stencil.

I added some glossy accents to the Hello die because I love the finished look.

Now here's the same die another way.

For this card I used some cool silver paper I picked up at Daiso. It comes in gold too! I was feeling silver with the teal that I water colored onto the MFT Dainty Scallop die coverup.

Since we're having such wonderful weather in So Cal I was inspired to create a card with a sunny outlook! 

I love the new Lucky set from the latest release and the sun from the Things with Wings set is one of my faves too. They were a perfect combination. I also scored some awesome hexagon chunky glitter from Michaels to create this fun shaker card.

My Favorite Things Summer School- Lesson 10 Monochromatic

Hello friends. I am back with my final card for My Favorite Things Summer School. This lesson in color theory is Monochromatic.

Here's what I created for this lesson.

I pulled out my Contemporary Roses and used Ripe Raspberry and Bubble gum hybrid ink to stamp them. Then I die cut my sentiment in Ripe raspberry cardstock. I backed it on MFT's new Dots and Stripes Sorbet 6x6 pad and finished with sequins.

MFT Summer School Lesson #9 – Color Theory: Secondary Colors

Hello friends. I'm sharing another card from My Favorite Things Summer School. Today's Lesson is Color Theory-Secondary Colors. 

For my project I decided to use Purple, Yellow and Blue/Green

I really enjoyed the process of creating this card. I find water coloring to be very relaxing. 

Here's how my "homework" turned out

I used Die-namics Flutter of Butterflies Lace and Written in Watercolors stamp set. I stamped my Sentiment in the Summer Splash Hybrid ink and embossed it.

I have really enjoyed these lessons. I only wish I had time to finish them all before their due dates but I will be finishing them sometime in the next week.

Shine On

Hello friends. Yes I am just getting this post up this morning for My Favorite Things weekly sketch challenge. 

We had a busy weekend in the Smith house celebrating our Lily turning 8. We spent her special day at The Grove having lunch at the American Girl Cafe and then shopping for her very first American Girl doll. Neighbors and friends have stopped by to give her gifts and we've frequented the Mattel Store a few times spending her Birthday money on Ever After High dolls. She now has quite the collection!

Anyway here is my card for this week's sketch

More water coloring fun

Hello friends. Today I am sharing another card that I made while playing around with my distress inks and water.

I fell in love with the I Love You More sentiment set from last month's release at My favorite Things.

I'm still watching videos and figuring out the ins and outs of watercoloring. I think it's safe to say I am hooked so you can expect more cards to come.

So good for my heart

Hello friends. 

If you've been by before, you'll probably notice I gave my blog a little New Years make over. After a few years of the same look, I figured it was time.
I really like the cleaner look but I am still messing with my sidebar items.

Today I am sharing some cards I created with the newest releases from My Favorite Things.

My first card features the new die-namics heart puzzle. When I saw this die in the release peeks, I had to have it.

For my next card I used the new Fluttering hearts cover up die and inked up the Birdie Brown You have my heart set.

I had so much fun creating these cards because I love the new MFT releases.
