Hello friends! It's been a busy week here at the Smith home with the return of school. Scott started his Sophomore year by joining the HS marching band. And...our baby has officially started Kindergarten! It's been an emotional week for this momma to say the least. I wanted to share their first day pics.

They both had great weeks and like their teachers. These two make me so proud. I am honored to be their mom and so thankful I get to be present for these memories.

I'm sharing one last Love 2 Craft project before we move on next month to...

Now I have a cute wall hanging I made using the Love 2 Craft collection and the new Mini 8 punch. I punched 6 different solid color cardstock sheets to create the banner and embellished with doilys and Love 2 Craft coordinating stickers and chipboard accents.

I also used some fun gingham ribbon and colorful buttons to dress it up.

Paper Posies September kit reveal!

Good afternoon! Paper Posies revealed the September kit and it's loaded wit My Mind's Eye yummies from The Sweetest Thing collection. Take a look at this amazing kit!

I loved working with this month's kit. The colors were so beautiful and everything really went well together. Here's a few cards and a project I made this month. 

I love the yellow and grey color combo so I used the project from Maya Road to create this wedding themed card.

  

This yellow floral paper was my favorite sheet of the collection. I easily paired it with some satin ribbon. I used the chipboard project to create a baby themed banner.

Stamping with Anna Griffin

Hello there. Is it really Friday already? The week really got away from me while I was working on assignments for Anna Griffin. Did you catch Anna's QVC UK show yesterday? If you missed it you can view the videos here. She has some beautiful things coming soon.

Today I am sharing a few cards I made with Anna Griffin's Self Inking Stamper Ink pad & Stamps. 

These are really easy to use to create your own background paper with the self inking stamper and guide that comes with the set. Here's a few samples.

Love 2 Craft cards

Good afternoon! I love Mondays, it's a fresh slate... a do over...the beginning of the week. So this week I have lots planned to accomplish which includes blogging more. Today I am sharing some cards I made with We R Memory Keepers Love 2 Craft collection and stamps.

Keep Calm & Craft

 I used a few scissor brads from Eyelet Outlet to add some fun to this card.

  

Supplies: Love 2 Craft collection from We R Memory Keepers, Eyelet Outlet scissor brads, ribbon by Offray.

For the second card I switched up the sentiment and added some color ink that coordinated with the paper.

Stamp of the Week Sunday

 Spooked Up Laundry Line

For my sample I decided to create something a little different and instead of a card I made a recycled treat box and tag.

The plastic container is hidden by the large spellbinder die I used for the stamped image along with some Jillibean soup cardstock and Rangers Tiny attached to secure the paper around the plastic package. I also used Copics to color and Stickles for the bubbles. Geez is Halloween really only less than two months away??

Hip Hoppin Unity Summer style

Hello Hip Hoppers! It's another fabulous Thursday and time another fun Unity Hip Hop. I hope you've made your way here from the Unity blog because you don't want to miss all the fabulous projects the girls have created for you. Today I am sharing a few projects I made with the beautiful Summer themed {Paradise Beach} collection from Echo Park designed by the super talented Michelle Coleman.

  

 First I made this card with a sentiment from the Bella Blvd set called Making the Team

 

Then another card with an older set called Retro BBQ

  

 and I made this layout with some of the SMAK images and photos from my daughter's first visit to the Long Beach Aquarium.

I love how easy it is to incorporate the SMAK stamps into my layouts.

Unity and the Ribbon Carousel...

Phyllis Harris releases continued...

Hello friends. Last week's Hip Hop at Unity featured new stamps from Phyllis Harris. The images are soo cute and I was working on a card and tried something new that did not work out so well. Needless to say right before I had to type up my post I ruined my image and could not finish. So after I finished a bunch of assignments that I had due last week, I got creative with some more of the new images and wanted to share them with you as promised at the end of my Hip Hop post. First I created with this little guy.

August Studio AE from Technique Tuesday

Hello! I'm so excited to be Guest designing at Studio AE this month! I hope you are enjoying today's Blog Hop so far! We're creating with this month's AE set called Love this Memory.

Here's what I created.

I love this photo of my daughter. I snapped this after she was rolling in the grass at our local park. It was also her Pre-School graduation day. I can't believe that it's already time for her to start Kindergarden at the end of August.

 

I stamped one of the sentiment circles on kraft cardstock, cut it out and layered it onto my layout. I also used another one of the images to stamp directly on my paper. I love that these sentiments help tell the story of my photo.
