Today I wanted to share a little about my process for creating Albums Made Easy pages. These pages can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose. You can create pockets to add memorabilia, use die cuts, stickers and a large variety of other embellishments to create your pages that tell the story of your photos.
When I am creating my AME pages, I first choose which of my photos I am going to work with and print them. I have 2 photo printers. An HP 5510 All in One Printer and a Cannon Selphy. I love printing at home because I can edit and alter my photos any way I like. I purchase my ink from Staples and use their Rewards card to keep the cost down. I purchase my photo paper at Costco. You get 150 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets for $20.00. It's a great deal.
Since I am using this photo sleeve today, you can see there are pockets for 4 4x6 photos and 4 3x4 photos. I typically like to use 2 full 4x6 and 2 full 3x4 photos for my page.
Next I chose my journaling cards. The AME kits are loaded with such a great variety of journaling cards I like to choose which ones I want to use and arrange them in the photo sleeves.
Next I decide if I want to alter any of them. Today I chose to alter the top Right 4x6 card with some solid cardstock cut at 2x6 and rounded at the bottom corners. I then added a strip of Washi Tape and a few banner stickers from the Chalkboard sticker sheet. This made it easy to add a title for my story
This is a quick and easy alter of one of the 4x6 journaling cards and adds a title to your page.
Now I am ready to slide in the rest of my photos and add some journaling to the journal tag.
The Insta-fun tag is perfect for adding another photo so I printed one and backed it with cardstock cut 1/4 larger that the photo so it would have the matted look.
So there you have today's page. I'd love to see how you are creating your Albums Made Easy pages so please link them to the comments so I can stop by and take a look.
Now for the moment you've all been waiting for...last week's winner of my giveaway! Watch the video to see who won.

That looks like an easy way to do layouts, though as you showed, you can certainly dress up those cards to make them look even nicer... what a great idea!
I have to confess, I have yet to try using these pocket page-protectors, I still am hesitant... will I have the correct size? how will I decide on what cards?, will they match with my pics?, etc. Silly I know...
This is beautiful! Love all the pink! Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog! It's funny because our kitchen was actually a VERY unattractive, original 1950s kitchen, but thanks to cabinet paint, wall paint, and a new backsplash, it feels totally different! I love it now!
Cute layouts. Love all your ideas! I can't wait to try them out and see what I come up with. I'm sure that I am spending way too much energy trying to decide which page and cards to use. Lol
You make it look so easy. I can't wait to try out some of your techniques and see what I come up with. I'm positive that I'm spending way too much time obsessing over which page or cards to use lol.
What a great surprise! Thanks! I am glad your stepping outside of your comfort zone and making some video's. It would be nice to see your creative process! I can relate as I just recently (September) started posting my projects to my blog! Can't wait to see your video's! Sending my email now. Thanks!
