Tim Holtz inspired me...

Have you seen Tim Holtz's 12 tags of Christmas?? I browse his page often and he just simply rocks! I love all his techniques and products!! I wish I could buy everything he puts out there! I love that he takes to time to share his techniques and posts videos for you to follow along. I have a handful of supplies he uses and I purchased his distressing ink set from QVC and LOVE it!


So after browsing his site this afternoon and reading all 6 of his 12 tags of Christmas I packed up the baby and headed for Micheal's to buy some tags to embellish. I already knew I wanted to use a photo in my tag to document Lily's first year on Santa's lap. I also surfed a scrap store in Torrance because I haven't gotten my order from Two Peas yet and was wanting some new scrappy stuff.
I hit the scrapbook store first only to find that they were going out of business! Bummer on one hand, lucky me on the other cause everything in the store was 40 percent off! They had it all too! Prima bling, Chatterbox, Sassafrass...Oh I was SO overwhelmed and SO on a budget right now.
I told my hubs I was only going to Micheal's for tags and ribbon...lol I was good and only spent $20.00 and the girl working there was SO sweet, she gave me the extra 10 percent off that the mailing list peeps were getting in their emails. Of course trying to shop for scrappy stuff and wrangle Lily was SO not easy!
I finally made it back home and started working on my tag. I think turned out pretty nice. I don't have the metal items that Tim uses or the chipboard shapes but from my stash i think I created a nice ornament for our tree. Check out Tim's site and create one for yourself!
