New from Anna Griffin: Floral and Flourish dies

Friday, July 12, 2013

Hi friends! Did you see all the new products from Anna Griffin on HSN yesterday? The show was amazing with so many new products. I would have to say my favorite were the dies. The patterns and designs compliment all of Anna's collections beautifully! Here are some samples I created for the show.

Flourish dies

Now for the Floral dies

Aren't they beautiful! Add some ink while they are still in the die to have the same look as the Happy Birthday card.

I really enjoyed creating with these dies and you will too! I know they went fast on HSN!

Unity Thursday

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

Hello friends and thanks for joining us this week for Unity Thursday. Make sure you start the journey at the Unity blog to find out all the sale information!

I'm sharing a few projects today with images from the new June SMAK kits as well as some mixed up SMAK sentiments and images.

First up is an Albums Made Easy page that I created using my July Paper Posies kit.

 Water Bus Adventure

I'm kind of addicted to the new iPhone apps that let you add text and images to your photos. I used #beautifulmess to add some words to a few photos in white. Then I stamped some sentiments from the December SMAK kit and even added one to my photo of Lily and I in the bottom left corner. You can use regular ink to do this too! I use Versafine black onyx. Best ink ever!

Next I have a card I made with images from the June SMAK-Epic Moments.

 You are Awesome!

Supplies: From the Paper Posies July kit: October Afternoon Travel Girl collection. June SMAK  kit images. Fancy Pants buttons. Fisker punch.

Now it's time for me to send you onto Thienly's blog!

More fun in the Sun

Hello friends. I'm back with another project using a fun image from the Beach Time digi set from Chi Chi Memories.

This week I chose to create with the "beach babes" as I call them.

Let's hang out

Supplies:
Chi Chi Memories Beach Time Digital Stamp Set
Unity Stamp Co Sentiment
Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go collection
Eyelet Outlet Beachball brads
American Crafts ribbon
Copic Markers
Ranger Crystal Stickles
Spellbinders Labels One Die
Fiskers wave border punch
Jillibean Soup corrugated embellishment
Misc: button

I love those beach ball brads from Eyelet Outlet! I love layering cardstock so it made perfect sense to layer the wave border punched strips with the beach themed collection.

Summer is in full swing!

Friday, June 21, 2013

Hello friends. I know it's been awhile since I posted. My June has been SO incredibly full of assignments, kitting for classes, travel, laughs, good times with friends and much needed family time. Mat is into his second month of his new job and doing well. It's hard that he is gone so much now but he feels great being out there working a good long day.
I was able to attend Lily's Water Safety Day at Mother's Beach the week before the last of school. She had an awesome time!

She gave it a BIG thumbs up!

Now that the kids are out of school for the summer that means I have both the girls all day. Let me tell you, they are a handful as a pair but I love having Lily home. This past week was challenging playing referee but I think Zalie is pretty happy about it too.

Scott finished his Sophomore year with a 3.0 and made me proud after really struggling thru Geometry.
So back to school for a minute. Lily has officially completed Kindergarten and excited to be on her way into 1st Grade in August. She absolutely loved her class mates and her teacher, Mrs. Rathburn.

Class of 2025

My trip to TX was a ton of fun and I really enjoyed teaching my classes. Everyone had a great time. Spending time with friends, lunching and hanging out was the highlight of my weekend. Dang tho! We did not take any pics together. Here's one of my sweet students and her finished Shadow Box.

Lily celebrated our sweet friends Kaarin and Kristiana's 6th Birthdays at California Park. We met the girls there when they were all about three and they have been playing together ever since. We are so thankful we met the Davis family.

Father's Day was a fun day filled with giving Dad extra love, a picnic and some kite playing in the Playa Lagoon.

Today we kicked off Fun Friday (that's a little something I am doing this summer with Lily where every Friday since I don't  have my daycare baby we do something fun just us girls) with an invite from our friends Finley, Molly and Delaney to come play in the Sprinklers. The girls had a blast.

So that's what we've been up to for June and I am loving what summer has brought us so far. Tomorrow we are headed to Santa Monica with Mat's mom for a swim day at a swanky pool. Yep I'll post pics later this weekend!

Hope you are out enjoying your summer too!

Unity Thursday

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Hello friends. It's been a very busy few weeks for me hence the lack of posts to my blog but now I'm back with Unity Thursday! We have some fantastic sentiment kits releasing today so make sure you start at the Unity blog for all the details!

For today's inspiration I have a mini album that has been a work in progress.

For this album I used a $1 Canvas mini from Michaels and the Chilled Cucumber Soup collection from Jillibean Soup. And of course...I used several SMAK kit images including the May SMAK kit. Oh and if you haven't seen June yet...

Um...kinda AMAZING right???

I love creating with my SMAK kits for layouts, cards and mini albums. The awesome variety if images really do bring our projects to life!

Thanks for stopping by for Unity Thursday!

Now I'll send you onto Thienly

A little free crafting time

Saturday, June 1, 2013

I finally shipped off all my boxes for Stitch Craft and Create. Hard to believe it's time for the June show again. I am looking forward to returning for another year. I hope the ladies attending will enjoy my classes.
I took some time to relax after all that kitting and created a card for Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes Challenge. I used Authentique paper and Unity/Authentique stamps.

You are the BEST!

Supplies: Authentique Fresh Collection. Authentique Co-Branded Unity Stamps. Simon Says Stamp You die and You stamps. Misc bling and ribbon.

I love fussy cutting stamped images and layering them. It's easy peasy to do and when you add a pop of 3D foam the result is beautiful.

Now it's back to assignments...Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
