Happy World Card Making Day!

Saturday, October 4, 2025

Hello friends! Happy World Card Making Day! I can't believe it's been 20 years since Paper Crafts magazine started this wonderful celebration of our hobby! I've been crafting handmade cards for 18 years now, and I still love it as much as the first day I started!

I'm kicking off World Card Making Day by sharing a fun background image, Ghastly Gourds from Unity Stamp Company. This background stamp is on sale at Unity for $16.77!! So go grab yours.

I love foiling my stamped images with my toner printer. For this card, I foiled the background with dazzling orange Fancy Foil from Gina K Designs and then used the negative foil on a tone card front for my dancing skeleton card. Both cards were really fun and easy to create.

What do you love doing for World Card Making Day?

I'd love to see what you are creating! I'll be sharing images on my Instagram page and tagging them with #WCMD

Let's have some fun and get makin!

Happy New Year!

Wednesday, January 1, 2025

Happy New Year friends! I hope that 2025 brings you happiness, health and more quality time with your loved ones!

Supplies: Spellbinders number and Happy Sentiment dies, Therm-O-Web transfer foil and hot foil.

Pinkfresh Hot Foil plate

I would like the new year to bring me more creative time and the courage to push myself to try new things. It's been a tough year for me. I let some work issues that I experienced and an unexpected change affect my love of crafting and kind of fell into a place where I lost my creativity.

I finally feel energized and positive about what's ahead for me and I'm ready. I want to get back to sharing more creativity here on my blog and developing my social sharing abilities as well. I get so freaked out about the thought of doing videos or reels but I have so much I want to share with others.

I love crafting and everything about the industry. I long for CHA to return to Los Angeles so that I can see my crafting friends face-to-face again. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get that wish!

In the meantime, I'll be sharing more creativity right here!

Thank you for stopping by!
