Sprinkled with fun

Monday, February 16, 2015

Hello friends. Today I am sharing my card for this week's My Favorite Things

Here's a look at this week's sketch.

I got my new release order from MFT in time to use it for this week's sketch. I could not wait to get those Donut Dies by Laina Lamb. They are so fun!

I used the donut stamps to create a background using the MFT Hybrid inks and sentiment from LLD Donuts and Sprinkle stamp set.

Next I used some Fabritac glue to adhere the felt to the cardstock and dab my sprinkles in to adhere to the felt to create my donut. Then I used 3D foam squares from Therm O Web to adhere my card.

It's always fun creating for MFT's weekly challenge. If you'd like to create with us too then check out the My Favorite Things Challenge and Inspiration blog!

Have a creative day!

Hello friends. I'm getting my MFT Sketch challenge card in right under the wire today.

Here's a look at this week's sketch.

I was feeling very 80's when I created my card last night. I used a few MFT dies along with some Pearl color Origami sheers for the Sentiment and layered them with cardstock for the flower. I love the gradient background paper from MME.

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste Flair. Daiso Pearl Color Oragami. My Favorite Things Dies: Gerbera Daisy, Words of Gratitude. Eyelet Outlet enamel dots white.

Morning photos are the worst and does make this card shine as much as it does so when the sun comes out here I'll be taking better photos.

Have a creative day.

Juliet by Anna Griffin

Friday, February 6, 2015

Hello friends. Can you believe it's only 8 more days til Valentine's Day? What do you like to do for your sweetheart? I always make mine a hand made card. It's so cute that recently I was cleaning out our closet and discovered his stash of all the hand made cards I have made him over the years. It's nice to know they are cherished.

Today I  have some handmade Valentines to share with Anna Griffin's Juliet collection that she debuted on her "Anna-versary" special on HSN in January.

Here's a look at the complete collection.

Here's a few cards I created with it.

I used a few of Anna's Fretwork dies for this card.

I loved the variety of patterned paper, die cuts and embellishments that came in this collection. It made creating these cards a snap!

Sadly this collection sold out on air so it's not currently available at HSN. I am not sure if Anna will be bringing more on her next show or not.

For all of Anna Griffin's available collections and other products visit HSN.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a creative day.

More water coloring fun

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Hello friends. Today I am sharing another card that I made while playing around with my distress inks and water.

I fell in love with the I Love You More sentiment set from last month's release at My favorite Things.

Supplies: My Favorite Things Stamp Set ( I love You More ) Ranger mini distress inks (picked raspberry) and watercolor paper.  Misc: stars.

I'm still watching videos and figuring out the ins and outs of watercoloring. I think it's safe to say I am hooked so you can expect more cards to come.

Thanks for the visit.

Have a creative day!

Anything Goes

Monday, February 2, 2015

Hello friends. I'm posting late because I had a busy day but I wanted to share a card I made with my February Simon Says Stamp card kit for the "Anything Goes" challenge on the SSS Weds Challenge blog.

Will You Be My Valentine

I have been playing around with my Ranger Distress Inks and my water color brush and mini mister. I really enjoy the process of creating backgrounds like these. It was easy to trim the cardstock I  experimented with and mount it on a card base. I finished it off with some Doodlebug Designs twine and button.

There is still time to create for this week's challenge. For all the details click over here.

Thanks for visiting!
