Saturday Stamping

Saturday, August 30, 2014

Hello friends. I hope you're enjoying the long weekend.

I am getting crafty with my new MFT stamp set Witch Way is the Candy ( I can't stop using this set each week!) and creating for MFT's Weekly Sketch challenge.

Here's this week's sketch

Here's my take on the sketch

Supplies: MFT Stamp: Witch Way is Candy? Die-namics Bright Lights Alphabet. Solid cardstock and patterned paper My Mind's Eye Wicked. Recollections glitter tape, Copic Markers: YG11 & FYG2. Stickles: Crystal, Glossy accents. Martha Stewart border punch. Spellbinders circle, scalloped circle dies.

I had to re-take my photo since this is a night photo...I know, I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to photos...

For the letters, I added Glossy Accents over the top of them to make them stand out from the glitter tape. Then I was thinking, wouldn't it be cute to have a spider brad right over the froggie's head? I think I had one left from Eyelet Outlet's newest release. So fun!

There is still time to create with this week's sketch. Head on over to the MFT blog to add your card here.

I tried my hand at shading the bat's wings with my Copic markers. I think they turned out pretty good but I would really like to take some Copic classes. Now that my kids are back in school as of this week I'll be looking forward to checking out some YouTube videos and learning some new techniques in the quiet of my own home. If you have some videos to suggest, please leave me a link in the comments. Thanks so much!

More fun with Anna Griffin stamps and All About Kindness Card kit

Monday, August 18, 2014

Hello friends, I'm back with more designs to share that I created for Anna's last show on HSN. I never realize until I start to go back thru my galleries just how many projects we create for each show. I am continually amazed at how many beautiful products are developed for each show.

Today I am sharing projects from the Self Inking Autumn Wreath Doily Stamp Set and the All About Kindness Card kit.

Here's a few samples I created with the stamp set.

I used the medallions to create a background using Anna's grey ink pad and then created a small doily which I fussy cut and adhered to the front of the card.

I used some pieces of the Garden Window card making kit and used one of the medallion images to create a background again. Satin ribbon always gives Anna's cards a finished look.

Next I have some samples from the All About Kindness Card kit.

With all the images Anna adds to each card kit, it isn't hard to create truly beautiful cards that you are proud to give friends and family.

Have a creative day!

I was so happy that my order arrived in time to create with the new products! I ordered Tuesday night at 10 and my package arrived Friday! How awesome is that!

I wanted to create with the Spooky Window die and try using the distress inks and water to create a sky background. It's my first time trying this technique.

Getting back to challenges: MFTWSC188

Saturday, August 9, 2014

Hello friends. Thanks for your visit today. I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. I finally had some time to create for one of my favorite challenges from My Favorite Things.

Here's this week's sketch

Here's my creation

I used paper from Simple Stories DIY, My Favorite Things Laina Lamb Designs Bring on the Cake, Cupcake stand dies and the Delicious Birthday set. Misc: pearl brad.

I had fun making my {paper} cakes and for some reason I was really feeling green. So I made a cake to go on top of the Cupcake stand and a coordinating card.

These dies are SO fun!! So many ideas are swimming in my head so I am sure you'll see some more creations!

Have a creative day.

More designs with Anna Griffin

Friday, August 8, 2014

Hello friends. I am sharing some more of my cards that I designed with Anna Griffin's newest products, some of which are still available at HSN. You can view what's available for purchase right now here on Anna's page at HSN.

These were created using the Antique Botanical Die Cuts

I like to take multiple die cuts and layer them with 3D foam. It makes the flowers and butterflies appear to be coming off the front of the card.

These die cuts are made to be layered and layered so don't be afraid to make them pop!

Next are some samples with the Birthday Wishes 3D Sticker kit.

I love incorporating all of my Anna Griffin products when I am creating with a specific item.  can you spot all of the items I used?
Dies
Border Stickers
Embossing Folder
Card base from one of the card kits
Perfect Palette Cardstock
Birthday Wishes sticker sentiment
Misc: punches, ribbon and bling

The corners on this card are from the negative paper left over from the die cut.

A double loop bow can really add something to your cards.

These sentiment stickers are super fun on gift bags too!

I've been very busy working on the next round of assignments. Anna is scheduled to be on QVC UK August 19th! If you go to their page here. You can stream the show on your PC's!

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Have a creative day!
