More Anna Griffin designs with the new Cut and Emboss Fretwork dies

Thursday, July 31, 2014

Hello there. Did you watch the 24 hour Craft show on HSN last week? I love setting my DVR and then watching each of Anna's segments and listening to all the callers that Anna gets to speak with live. I love hearing their sincere craft enthusiasm and love of Anna and her products.

Everything she designs coordinates perfectly to help us crafters create true works of art.

Anna had so many beautiful products to share with you on her segments and this item sold out before she could share any samples that were created for the show.

Anna Griffin® Cuttlebug™ Cut & Emboss Dies - Fretwork

These dies are so beautiful and fun to create with. They can be a backdrop to your cards or the star! You get to decide!

Here are some of the samples I created with these amazing dies.

The dies look great when you add a little pearl bling and a nice satin bow. It really gives this card a classy look that I loved. I double layered the die for a 3 dimensional look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a creative day.

Anna Griffin Foil Flourish and Lovely Layers projects

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

Hello friends. How many of you picked up Anna Griffin's new Foil Flourishes during the HSN 24 hour crafting day last week? I love how easy they are to add to my card designs and how elegant they look!

Here's a look at some samples I created.

 photo ShemaineFF1.jpg

I love layering Anna's stickers with 3D foam squares from Therm-o-Web. They really make them pop of my card.

 photo ShemaineFF2.jpg

I started with a card base and die cut frame from Anna's Garden Window Card kit and added several of the Foil Flourishes along with some of Anna's beautiful stickers to create this card.

The corner stickers made putting this card together quick and easy!

 photo ShemaineFF4.jpg

A little of this and a little of that paired with an embossing folder make for a beautiful card.

 photo ShemaineFF5.jpg

I used another card base from one of Anna's card kits and then rounded the corners of the patterned paper. Then I added one of the Totally Tags.

Next I have some inspiration fpr you using the Lovely Layers collection.

Don't be afraid to mix different shaped dies like I did for this Birthday themed card.

Use a sanding block on your embossed cards to let the core come thru for a nice look.

Sometimes for me a card starts with the ribbon. You know what I mean right?

 photo ShemaineLovelyLayers2.jpg

I cut down one sheet and then layered it over the same print with 3D foam. Then I embellished it with tags and a die cut.
 photo ShemaineLovelyLayers3.jpg

Sometimes I like to stick to one color palette. I love Anna's saddle stitched ribbons.

 photo ShemaineLovelyLayers4.jpg

Again this one was all about the ribbon. It's one of my faves from Anna. I cut away the excess cardbase of the scalloped layer and used 3D foam to pop it off the Perfect Palette. I love yellow and green together. Don't you?
 photo ShemaineLovelyLayers5.jpg

This last one is sooo girly and I love the way it turned out. I took the two contrasting hues of pink and paired them together. I find that the darker color in the background will bring out the lighter shade much better.
Cut down your cardstock in quarter inches to create nice layers.

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be sharing the Birthday stickers and more of the new items later this week.

Have a creative day!

Unity Thursday

Thursday, July 24, 2014

Hello Unity friends! Thanks for stopping by for this week's Unity Thursday inspiration.

Here's a peek at what we have for you this week at Unity.

Make sure you start your journey at the Unity blog.
We have some awesome new releases that you don't want to miss!

Today I am creating with the July SMAK kit

All in the Numbers

My husband and I took our daughter to Disneyland on Sunday for her Birthday. We had the best day together. I had a few of these Instagram Albums leftover from my classes and wanted to make a fun mini with our photos and the July SMAK kit

I love decorating the outside of my albums as well as the inside.

I used the smaller number stamps to document the year.

It's easy to stamp your own backgrounds like I did here with a variety of ink and the 2014 stamps to mark the year of our visit.

For this page I stamped in Mickey's colors with a few different images. Easy Peasy!

That's it for today friends! If you happened to stop by my blog first then click on any image below to be taken over to that fabulous designer's blog!

Card Kitchen Wrap Up!

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Hello friends. I'm back to share the rest of the cards I created with the July Card Kitchen Kit! I can't believe how easy it was to sit down with this cute kit and create these cards in about and hour and a half. I still had SO much product left over too!

I love creating cards using scraps or minimal embellishments. I also like using punches with my scraps. How do you get the most out of your papers and products?

I love to emboss patterned paper and then use a sanding tool to distress the embossed image. You should give it a try sometime. The results are stunning!

I had so much fun guesting for The Card Kitchen. Their kits are loaded with fun ways to dress up your cards. Please visit their website here for a look at the newest kit!

For this one I used a couple of strips of patterned paper and the tag as my main focus.

The red against the blue pattern really pops for this card.

I made some 3D balloons using a heart shaped punch I have and added some twine.

Stop back by tomorrow for the rest of my cards!

Have a creative day!

Thursday, July 10, 2014

Hello friends! It's another Fabulous Unity Stamp Co. Thursday. I am your last stop on today's inspirational tour.

Today Unity Stamp Co. is giving you all some...

DARN GOOD DEALS!

And even better is today's free with purchase images. They are so amazing and unique.

Here's a look at what I created with them

 photo UnityFreebie710buw.jpg

I used Basic Grey's Highline 6x6 Pad for both cards. I also fussy cut the images and layered them to make them pop.

I love this image

 photo UnityFreebie710uw.jpg

I paired it with the new Butterfly embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers.
Then I used a sanding block to emboss the image to bring the white core thru.

For the last one I used this week's Be Inspired Challenge Sketch

 photo UnityFreebie710Cuw.jpg

They are all so lovely right? Head over to Unity and grab yourself some Unity rubbah and spend $55 to get all 3 images.

That's it for today friends. Here's a list of the designer's participating today.
