Hello friends! We're pretending that today is Sunday and this is my SOTW post since somehow I saved my post but did not schedule it to go live yesterday....you can play along with me tho right?

So it's time for a new Unity Stamp of the Week and I fell in love with this image right away!

Capture Life
by: Angie Blom

Here's a sample I created using the August Paper Posies kit.

I chose to color my image in with Copics although I have yet to master my blending techniques. The paper is Basic Grey and I added a Wilton doily. Oh and I love that ribbon, don't you.

Now you only have one week to claim this cuteness for your own. So hurry over to this page to find out how you can sign up to have some Unity Happy Mail in your mailbox each week!

Have a creative day friends!

We're teamin up with...

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

That's right Hip Hoppers we've got some creative fun for you all week long at the Unity Blog! We've teamed up with Helmar and we're sharing the new Susan Weckesser stamps for today's Hip Hop!

Here's the set I'm creating with today!

I wanted to use these stamps to tell the story of my photos and this set is perfect for that.

Say Cheese!

OK I realize design wise this layout is a hot mess...lol. How I envisioned it in my head and how it came out were totally different in the end. You know sometimes scrapbooking just happens that way but I told my story and that's what is important :)

I love that this stamp set is easy to use with layouts. My favorite image is the film strip. I used my craft knife to cut out the middle squares and some Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive to adhere the cut out over the red star patterned paper behind the top fireworks photo. I love that the Helmar adhesive really does dry quickly.

next I used this image to create with...

In circle me
I created this fun wall decor with my Paper Posies August kit and some other Unity images

I used yellow Studio G chalk ink to ink the edges of the canvas. Next I used the Helmar liquid glue to adhere the paper to the canvas and then I used Mod Podge to seal it. After the Mod Podge dried I used Staz-On to stamp the In circle me stamp on my background. The birds are from the Paper Posies project in the August kit from Maya Road. I emboss resisted them with 3 different Unity images and embellished them.

Now here's a treat just for you from Angela!

And... SHIPPING at UNITY is only $2.95 on orders $10 and under and $6.95 on orders over $10 - USA & CANADA! :)

Don't forget about the nitty gritty details: Psst! KOTM and SMAK members may not combine coupons for this sale.

Now it's time to head on over to Thienly's blog and she what she's created for you!

Paper Posies July kit designs

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Hello friends. With all the CHA madness I realized I did not post my designs for the July Paper Posies kit. Here's a look at the current kit that's still available. You better grab it quick as the August reveal is later this week and I can tell you that it's even more fabulous than July's kit!

Here's what I created

A few cards

This one is my favorite because it's so simple and I used scraps left over from the layouts.

I used stamped images for both of my layouts from the Unity SMAK kits. Love them!

Each month there is a new project included. This month's project was a pencil case and I used the contents of the kit to embellish mine into a nice gift.

If you're interested in joining a kit club I can tell you that Paper Posies kits are always loaded with the latest and greatest products and a great value for the monthly price. For more information click here.

Sunny Summer Days mini

Monday, July 2, 2012

Hello and happy Monday!  Summer is in full swing and I have had an amazing one so far. It's been busy for me that's for sure. This summer I will have traveled to 3 different states. Pretty cool. Since I've be traveling I have not had the change to share this 8x8 Summer themed album featuring We R Memory Keepers Down the Boardwalk collection and the Cinch. This album was so easy and fun to create!

Sunny Summer Days
  8x8 mini album

For my cover I used chipboard accents from the Down the Boardwalk collection and for my title, some chipboard letters misted with Tattered Angels and some rhinestones to dress them up.

Tip: Add some artwork from your kids for a nice keepsake to your book.

Tip: Cut cardstock at 3 1/2 x 8 to make fun flaps for journaling and hidden photos.

Keep your book simple and let your photos be the focus.

I found the Cinch to be really easy to use. I just put my chipboard pieces in and set the pegs to punch for an 8x8 size and was able to create the book in about 2 hours with photos and everything.

I hope you'll give the Cinch a try for your next project!
