Paper Posies June kit creations

Sunday, May 29, 2011

Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend! I have some design work to share today with the newest Paper Posies June kit. This kit really says summer! Here's a peek.

My first layout I used the Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer papers

Summer Fun

I wanted to create a layout with layered circles to create interest so I Googled circle photo scrapbook sketches and found a great one I used one from Scrapbooks Etc to create this layout.

It's Summertime
For this card I used my newest favorite Cricut Cart, Elegant Edges to cut the shape of the card with My Mind's Eye Go Fly a Kit paper and them embellished with the 100 Days of Summer stickers. I really like the way it turned out!

This Girl's Room

This is a fun layout I did about decorating Lily's room. We've been slowly turning her room from a nursery to a little girls room. She loves Dora and purple so it's been fun collecting little things here and there to accent.

Summer snaps mini

And finally here is this month's project, a Maya Road Mini. I inked the front of the album, added some bling with my i-rock tool. I used Glossy Accents to add dimension to the cover.

If you're shopping for a new kit club and would like a closer look at this month's kit click on over to Paper Posies. Paper Posies kits are always loaded with the hottest products for a great price!

Have a great holiday weekend!

The day the music died...

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Hello friends. I hope you are having a fantastic day so far. I've been super busy working on projects and taking care of the little one and my Lily. These girls keep me pretty busy Monday-Thursday.
You may have noticed the title of my blog post. Yes it's true the music has died on my blog. After much consideration I have decided to remove the music mainly because I can't control the volume and frankly sometimes it's so loud it scares people away. Now I don't want to chase anyone off that's for sure so I added it to the dashboard at the top for those that like my play list so you can click there to listen. I know I like to find great playlists on other blogs I like to scrap to.
So there you have it...

Now how about a look at Paper Posies June kit!!

I'll be showing off my creations here soon but if you just can't wait to see...head over here to design team gallery and have a look!

New Release and a Sale!

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Hello friends! I wanted to share some Unity news with you this Thursday. I tried to get here earlier and post but I really have a lot going on in my home life these days. Don't worry it will be OK, just life pulls a rug out from under you at times and in our case it keeps happening. OK onto the good stuff!

There's some fun news at the Unity blog today! We've got a fabulous new release designed by my talented fellow Unity designer Lesley Langdon.

Here's a card I created with the Strawberry stamp.

Strawberrycard

I paired my card with the Berrylicious collection from Imaginisce. I also used Martha Stewart's Iridescent glitter to help add some dimension to the image. Unlike regular glitter, you can still see your image when you use iridescent glitter! Love that.
So here's the best part of my post. Angela loves these sooo much that she's asking us to share this:

SALE! SALE! SALE!

you may purchase them individually for $9 each OR opt for them ALL for $22!
and while you are shopping Unity - take a peek at all the itty bitty stamps we have on sale for only $4.50 each AND past kit of the month stamps for only $26.

it is a tooty fruity sale in honor of the TOOTY FRUITY challenge that we are hosting this month!
CLICK HERE to see that challenge!
last month we had 150 women participate!
if we keep getting THAT MANY people i will need to release a NEW STAMP kit ALL THE TIME for you all to participate with! :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

And the chipboard house I stamped with a Unity Stamp Co Dec 2010 KOTM image. I inked the bird with green ink and used the silver tears for the wing. I also used the new Glam Rock hearts and paper from our Little Cutie collection.

For my second project I created a teacher gift using a recycled jar.

Here's a look at the top of the jar
