Hip Hop Farewell to 2010!

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Helloooo Hip Hoppers and Happy New Year! Your should be coming from AJ's fab blog and if you didn't start your Hip Hop at Unity...Go Back Go Back and start here. So much to share you'll want to start there first!
I hope you had a fabulous Christmas with your friends and family. I sure can't believe we are putting a lid on 2010 that's for sure. I had some fantastic things happen to me in 2010 and one of them was becoming a part of the Unity Stamp Company team. When I was asked to join the team I was speechless, just ask Angela. {giggle}I am so honored every week to be able to create with these beautiful stamps and I know all of you not only love the stamps because of the quality and value but you love the woman behind the company. Never have I met such a lady. She inspires me in so many ways and the fact that we as customers that get to know her is a real treasure. And let's not forget the Unity men..Oh they make me chuckle with their stamp antics. I have a confession to make...when I am having a downer kind of day I click over to YouTube and watch Tommy T and Chris's video tutorials and by the end of those videos I'm smiling, just like that. And not to mention I love my fellow DT girls!!! So much talent but most of all so much heart. It's been amazing so far and I hope you all know how much you mean to me!

OK...so this week's scrapbook project is a holiday layout of my kids

Supplies: Bo Bunny Paper from Paper Posies Jan kit, KI Co Scribbles glitter word borders, Maya Road chipboard banner and stars, silver Stickles and I used my Spellbinders Grand Calibur along with the new Lacey Circles dies

For journaling I used this image from the Jillibean Soup Countdown to Christmas set. A fav of mine already

and I had to use my favorite stamp of 2010 that I got at Winter CHA

Hearts of Old
 US-1017W

I love this stamp so much I incorporated it into my 2010 Christmas cards

Under Construction

Sunday, December 26, 2010

Please excuse my mess while my blog is under construction. I wish I could pay someone to create me a fantastic blog but it's just not in my budget. So I've been seeking out cool clip art and playing in Photoshop Elements and so far created a new blog banner. Let me know what you think!
Today is a crafty day for me, I've got some assignments that I'm working on but I'll let you have a peek soon!
Enjoy your day after Christmas shopping if you head out and be careful out there. As for me, I'm crafting at home and trying to put this Christmas behind me.

Fresh from the studio

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

It's been a busy month so far for me. I am honored to be Guest Designing for Cupcards, a fabulous card kit club that is loaded with amazing goodies to create beautiful handmade cards. Please stop by and check out these adorable kits here!
Here's one of the cards I created with the December kit. I'm sort of addicted to Martha Stewart chunky glitter. That's what I coated the American Crafts chipboard shape in I used on the card below.

Imaginisce is releasing their newest collection with a fabulous release party on their blog tomorrow.

Be sure and visit the Imaginisce blog all week for your chance to win some of this beautiful collection.

Today I was guest blogging at the Unity blog and created this and another project. Hop on over to this post to see what else I created for my post today.

Paper Posies December kit is once again an amazing mix of beautiful papers, embellies and more! Here's what Michele had to say about the this month's kit:

Thoughts on December’s Kit:
"I am so excited that the holiday season is officially upon us! I’ve started early listening to Christmas music this year (the beginning of November!), but I can’t help it – I just love everything about this glorious season. I love the lights, the music, the tree, the goodies, the snow, shopping for and making the prefect gifts, baking and decorating sugar cookies, reading the Christmas story, decorating the house, sending and receiving Christmas cards, family togetherness, gingerbread houses, driving around showing the boys lights and decorations… the list could really go on!
I hope that the magic and beauty of this season fills your heart and home with love and joy. Happy Holidays!"
- Michele, Paper Posies Owner

Here's some of my work with this month's beautiful kit

Yes those are hand punched and folded circles that create the Christmas tree. I had this idea in my head and it actually turned out pretty good.
Some holiday cards

And some holiday tags

Yes it has been a busy month! Hope you are enjoying your holidays so far! Thanks for stopping by today!

Sunday, December 5, 2010

I've been busy this week. My mom came back to LA  Friday before she flew out Sat morning back home to Arkansas. I've been working on so many deadlines that I've neglected my blog lately except for when I need to post and I feel bad about that. My blog has always been my place to express myself both creatively and personally. I'm really going to make the effort to post more often so today's post is a wrap up to everything that I've been up to this week.
I started my December Daily on the 1st and so far so good. I've made it 4 days and I am finishing up day 4 today. Yay! This was my Day 1 photo. I even scrapped a layout about my goal of making it thru all 25 days!!

We're celebrating the Holly Jolly Holidays over at the My Little Shoebox blog and I created a fun Card Organizer with our Holly Jolly collection

We're also celebrating the 12 days of Christmas at the Imaginisce blog and you can win some fabulous prizes daily! Winners will be announced on December 13th!

And over at Unity we're hoppin with Helmar! I created this layout for Unity's blog post today.
